    Default Acid Alchemist in 2022

    Phloat here from Argonesson.

I'm circling back to Alchemist after at least a year break, and fondly remember playthrough from 12-30, but less so from 1-6.

The goal here is DPS and DC's, with enough healing to spot-heal. I enjoy healers, but this build won't be one.

Stats: Max INT, max CON, a few into STR because I like to carry a lot.

Skills: Max Spellcraft, max heal, max UMD, spot, search, balance

    Enhancements: 80 APs
41 Bombadier - T5 and Capstone, all Efficient Metamagics
25 Falconry - Helpless damage, Healing Amp, 5% Quality HP, Sprint Boost
14 Feydark - Color Spray and INT.

    Epic Destinies: 62 APs
38 Primal Avatar - Mantle, Epic Strike and Shard Storm, Mass Frog,
24 Draconic Incarnation - Epic Strike, Coalescence, Pull from the Wellspring, Gaping Maw or Epic Improved Maximize.

    Default More Details

Here is a more in-depth write up of the previous build.

I had a few thoughts about epic destinies: I weighted getting double duration on wellspring versus more SP from Magus. I leaned towards Magus instead.

If you have some racial points, use them and drop INT if necessary to get what you want.

I will be doing this as an Aasimar, because racial PL.

    Default Gear

Here is roughly what I will run at cap (I don't have IoD). There is definitely room to improve, but I tried to minimize raid gear and throw in some neat pieces I had in my TR cache. My initial thought was to go 7-piece Autumn and 4-piece Winter. Note that I slot an -10% ASF augment to account for my light armor. If I ran more KT, I could swap around to use the 2-piece Acid set (cloak + bracers). Another day.

    20 Alchemist, Acid dps spammer

    Gear 1: Cloth armor, 3-piece Esoteric (E), 4-piece Winter (W), 4-piece Autumn (A)

Main Hand: Legendary Fusible Scepter of Corrosion
Offhand: The Heart of the Prince (winter 1)

    Armor: Leg. Order's Garb (E 1)
    Belt: Strap of Autumn Leaves (A 1, W 2)
    Boots: Leg. Windriders (A 2)
    Bracers: Leg. Aetherband (E 2)
Cloak: Legendary Cloak of Autumn (A 3)
Gloves: Gauntlets of the Arcane Soldier
Goggles: Leg. Dusk Lenses (E 3)
Helm: Legendary Crown of Snow (W 3)
    Necklace: Celestial Insignia (A 4)
    Ring 1: Leg. Nocturne Ring (W 4)
Ring 2: Leg. Ring of Chances (with Ins Int. Aug)
Trinket: Legendary Bottle of Shadows or Legendary Conduit of the Arcane

    Gear 2: Light armor, 3-piece Dreamer (D), 4-piece Winter (W), 5-piece Autumn (A)

Main Hand: Legendary Fusible Scepter of Corrosion
Offhand: The Heart of the Prince (winter 1)

    Armor:Leg. Feycraft Mail (D 1)
    Belt: Strap of Autumn Leaves (A 2, W 2)
Boots: Leg. Deepsnow Boots (W 3)
Bracers: Leg. Green Draconscale Bracers (A 3)
Cloak: Leg. Gossamer Weave (D 2)
Gloces: Leg. Delicate Thimbletips (D 3)
    Goggles: Leg. Dusk Lenses
Helm: Leg. Crown of Snow (W 4)
    Necklace: Celestial Insignia (A 4)
Ring 1: Leg. Ring of Changes (with Ins Int. Aug)
    Ring 2: Leg. Ring of Fall's Decay (A 5)
Trinket: Leg. Chaos in a Bottle

I've heard the fire proc is useful. I don't do a ton of endgame crafting, mostly just raiding for items.

How does that Red Dragon armor proc compare to getting 5% exceptional spell crit and 15 exceptional s.p. from the Autumn armor, as well as 6% acid crit and 30 acid s.p. from the KT set, which is cloak and bracers? I'd have to use an Autumn trinket, the only one of which is a raid item too.

So, crafting from heroic to epic, legendary, and perfected, or get 2 KT items and 1 Dryad item?

I used Primal, I really, really tried it, and went to T5 Primal, but skipped the mantle and the epic strike in favour of Draconic. Every 5 seconds, and this is from the mantle, you do mega kill everything in Reaper 3-4 with one multivial damage. The Epic strike is a oh my god, they are still alive and on me now and I can't strafe out of this, boom, you are dead button.

I use updated gear, Walking and Deacon with double winter maybe making an appearance but for R3-4 I don't and end up using just the winter boots and other items providing really nice bonuses I didn't get on the rest of my gear.

I run something very very similar on my main for my second Dborn life. It was slow at first and then destroyed everything past about level 10.

I just ETR:ed but I was running the Esoteric Initiate sharn set + 4 piece Winter plus three pieces of Autumn. I had around 763 self buffed Acid sp without a reaction spike. With the Primal Mantle, I basically never ran out of spell points ever even with every metamagic turned on all the time. I think I had 43 in Primal, 20 odd in Draconic and one point in eclipse.

Tested the magus ice aoe with incorp and took the fear dcs for di dragon breath not a bad survival tool if you care about maxing your incorp with sdk n gear

Should be just enough points left for your 3'rd tree if you have all 72 d points now thats with 30 di + 22 primal just enough for ur evasion then rest 3'rd tree

For low levels the apothecary core 2 harm sla aoe nukes low level mobs cheap combined with some acid for most of the immunes

You start in the melee tree for alchemist, don't launch vials until level 12 or later.
