    Default FvS wis gearset using Isle of Dread pieces

    This gear setup is intended to:
    - Max all needed DCs
    - Good Spell Pen
    - (Near) max fire and light spell crit chance and damage
    - Decent high fire and light spell power
    - Decent Devotion + lore
    - MRR debuff
    - Decent HP, Saves, PRR and MRR

    This set is wisdom based as I intend to play as an Aasimar. I am well aware that Tiefling can get higher spell crit chance. I will likely try a similar build only with charisma at another time.

    I am using a few new pieces from Isle of Dread but possibly more surprisingly also 2 pieces of Cannith crafted gear in addition to Cannith crafting on a GMoF.
    Except for the necklace for Elders set almost all of the effects on every item are actually useful

    Isle of Dread gear:
    - Head: 35% light crit damage, +2 profane DC
    - Belt (minor artifact): 35% fire crit damage, +2 sacred DC
    - Weapon: Shadowscale (spell cost reduction), Melt Fang (acid dot), Exceptional Wisdom +2, Ash (mrr debuff)
    Also, swap in offhand Affirmation and/or Ooze LGS or IoD for buffing Archon.

    Elders/Cannith Crafted: (set bonus: 6% crit chance, 15% crit damage)
    - Trinket GoMF: Spell Saves, Parrying, Ins Spell Pen
    - Neck: Wizardry
    - Goggles: Wis, Ins Wis, Spell Pen
    - Ring: Con, Ins Con, Sheltering

    Flamecleansed: (set bonus: 30 spell power, 6% crit chance, 3 DC, 3 Artifact Wis)
    - Medium Armor: Fort, P Shelter, HAmp, False Life
    - Bracer: Devotion, Healing Lore, Ins Shelter
    - Cloak: Radiance, Radiance Lore, Q Spell Pen

    Other:
    - Boots: Sunken Slippers: Q Wis, Ins Potency, Q Potency)
    - Gloves: Arcane Soldier: Q Wizardry, +2 Q SFM, Q Spell Sight)
    - Ring: Clouded Dreams: 5% spell crit, 15% spell power, +3 Ins SFM
    - Shield: Alchemical Large: Fire Spell Power + Lore, +2 Alchemical Wis, Improved Fire Augmentation (unsure if the last effect does anything)

    Augments: (19 slots on non-weapons, 3 on weapons)
    +6 Spell School DC for evoc, necro, conj and one more
    +2 Spell School DC for same
    +5% ins spell crit
    +100 ins wizardry
    +2 profane all stats
    +1 exc all stats (have +2 wisdom on gear, so might drop this)
    Festive Wis and Con
    Dex (for reflex saves)
    Int (for a little more spell power)
    Deathblock
    Resistance
    Spellsight
    Vitality
    Meridian Fragment
    Draconic
    Masters Gift
    Good Luck
    GH
    Acid Spell Power (for the dot on the weapon)
    Ok, thats 26 augments for 22 slots, so a bit of prioritizing is needed

    Any ideas for improvement are certainly most welcome.

    Using a char planner it looks like the stats without any buffs or pots except ship buffs inside reaper with 100 reaper points will be something like this.

    Wis 108, Con 66, HP 3099, PRR 200, MRR 126, Dodge 12% (capped), HAmp +138.

    DC Evoc 122, Necro 117

    Fire/Light spell power: 870 / 850 (without counting metas)
    Fire Spell crit chance/dmg: 56% / +100.
    Light Spell crit chance/dmg: 56% / +85

    I will admit I was hoping for higher spell crit chance. The 56% comes from:
    Magical Training: 5%
    AoV: 8%
    Equip: 21%
    Insightful: 5%
    Universal: 5%
    Artifact: 6%
    Artifact fire/light: 6%
    Obviously, Tiefling could and more but apart from that what else might I be overlooking?

    Are you going 9% energy crit EPL feat for fire crit? What about filigrees? These seem like the best places to add crit chance. Could get 5% filigrees for 70% fire crit chance. Not sure if it’s worth it but probably.

    I had in mind going Arcane Alacrity for 4 times -10% spell cooldown (filigrees, shadowdancer, Draconic and epic PL feat) Should be a 34% reduction when combined. I have to admit I am not fully certain if Arcane Alacrity EPL or Energy crit EPL is better.

    I doubt the 1% crit filigrees are worth it compared to higher DC or spell power but its not easy to say for sure. I did some math on filigrees here: https://forums.ddo.com/forums/showth...Filigree-setup

    I like the cooldown more because plenty of your best spells to use in high reaper are not damage-based. So I use Arcane Alacrity. I will admit I have not played FVS in a while because back when I played it, light damage was very meh and only the epic spells actually did damage in reaper. So, I like to keep up to date on that, but I was pretty sure, yes, you want light crit chance and damage as well as fire, but you do not need both spell powers. Now, you will often get both on one piece of gear or whatever, but don't you just use the higher value? It's pretty easy to get over 1k fire spell power, not as easy with light.

    Hi Mikarddo

    I fiddled around with a gear set for you. From what I can gather it should have a pretty high dc and pretty good crit chance.
    Crit chance from gear should be:
    6% artifact to universal
    6% artifact to fire and light and force
    5% exceptional to universal
    21% lore item
    (5% insightful from augment)
    =38 (43) from items

    The first one is my considerations and the last one is the one I suggest to you. You need to add some augments for some of the missing things.



    Belt: Legendary Black Satin Waist – quality wisdom +3, quality spell focus
    Boots: (LGS fire / IOD artifact with light crit multiplier and sacred dc)
    Bracers: Legendary Hallowed Castigators – devotion, healing lore
    Cloak: Legendary Hallowed Trail radiance, evo focus 9, qual spell pen 3
    Gloves: (LGS fire / IOD artifact with light crit multiplier and sacred dc)
    Goggles: (Legendary Dusk Lenses [1])
    Helm: Legendary Elder's Cap / (Legendary Pansophic Circlet?[1]) / IOD helm
    Necklace: Legendary Elder's Focus / Pendant of the Azure Sky
    Ring 1: Clouded Dreams – ins spell focus mastery +3
    Ring 2: The Legendary Shattered Onyx ins wisdom 6, profane spell focus mastery 2, Ins Dodge +6%
    Trinket: Gem of many facets with elders and cc: Fire lore/wisdom, spell focus mastery, ???
    Armor: Legendary Blessed Vestments
    Main hand:
    Off hand: Alchemical large shield with alchemical wisdom +2
    Quiver: ???

    I don't understand ins spell crit augment and exceptional wis +2 on equipment.
    please can uou be more accurate with the name of the items with those bonus? I can't find them anywhere.
