I picked up enlarge in fatesinger but my spells are not double range. I have no option to enlarge them. Do I need the actual feat and then the fatesinger enlarge will just make it free?

Nope. Any spell that can have the Metamagic Enlarge applied to it, will automatically have it. You do not need the Feat itself for it to function.
If the spell or effect does not appear to increase in range, then that is because it can not have the Enlarge Metamagic Feat applied to them in the first place.

Any spell that supports enlarge as a meta should just be enlarged automatically once you pick that up.
Fun fact: if you have the enlarge feat and have it turned on (either as a toggle or per spell), you'll still get the charged extra spell points if you have the ED ability.

It's time to ask the usual questions then.
1. Are you using EDF (Epic Defensive Fighting?)
2. What are you using to measure the distance of a thrown spell and whether it had enlarge or not applied?
3. Did you previously use the Feydark Illusionist Core 5 (also provide Enlarge Metamagic)?
Point 1 needs to be asked in case you've forgotten this limits your spells to "touch" range only. For point 2, I use the first dog on the right after exiting the Meridia explorer. At maximum range with Enlarge Metamagic on, you're well beyond the usual range for Mass Hold or Finger of Death. And test against this range all the time to compare is the Enlarge effect is working or not, as sometimes just "eyeballing" it isn't quite accurate. Point 3 is needed to be asked because some players forget they had Enlarge before and thus when they get another source of Enlarge Metamagic, they wonder why there's not further range when they basically had it already.

Thinking back over it, there is one other possibility.
Did you also have the Enlarge Metamagic Feat as you picked up the Fatesinger one and THEN swapped it (normal Enlarge Metamagic Feat) out?
Because of the way DDO views it, it might have removed the effect even though it's supposed to be there via the Destiny. (It's a legal Feat Swap)
If this sounds like what might have happened, then reset your Destiny and retake the AP needed. And that should sort it out.

It definatelly works on the two SLAs on fatesinger because it made a huge difference both on that and the heal spell on my spellsinger as soon as I grabbed it.
In my previous life as a tiefling scoundrel it also worked on the ash and reverberation.

So you had taken Enlarge, then took enlarge from the fatesinger tree, then removed enlarge with Fred?
If so, then you've been using enlarge the entire time? So... it would be the same distance you're used to? Or I'm misunderstanding, sorry!
I guess reset the destiny again, relog, and test if the spell range is shorter?
I remember that the Quicken I took in the old Destiny could be fixed by resetting, but the older ED system may operate differently from how it does with the new one.
Could you pick up a different Metamagic at the T4 selection and then reset and then try to pick the Enlarge Metamagic and see if that works?
Unfortunately you're a bit in the "on your own" end at the moment, since any replication of what you did to reach your state needs Astral Shards and possibly even a LR Heart to correct, none of which I have spares of anymore at the moment (and Lamannia is down). So I'm afraid I can only offer suggestions on what might try and fix it. :-/

Yes that what I did. And yes you are misunderstanding because after swapping out enlarge with Fred I lost the enlarge distance even though I have it it in tier 4 fatesinger. I have reset the destiny and no spell I have that works with enlarge has the enlarge range. I have ran enlarge on my current build for the last 5 years. I'm bugged.

Thanks for your help. At this point it's just bugged. I looked into re setting fatesinger and swapping enlarge back in with Fred and then removing it with Fred and then grabbing it in fatesinger to see it that would fix it. After looking at the cost/time crunching yellow shards I figured I'd have more fun jamming toothpicks under my fingernails.
