    Default Forbidden Temple

Since running Amber Temple for the first time ever in a duo and spending half the night trying to finish the quest most new quests have simply been "run through and get the loot" even for first time runs.

Forbidden Temple sure changed that! 4 people on R8 (one had to afk midway) with all 3 nasty debuffs running and no clue how to get rid of them. 77 deaths in total, most of them mine I have to admit, was what it took before we could finally finish.

I dont hope to repeat this - but I do want to applaud the devs for coming up with new and annoying ways to kill me.

To disable the debuffs, someone in the group has to have completed the three quests to disable the monoliths and have the "Attunement" buffs. Then they can click the crystals at the start to turn them off. Once used though, the Attunement is gone and you have to run the "flags" again to get them back. It's an interesting design, "run the flags each time or get massive debuffs".

I see. I did get some of that later and figured the connection but have not been back to try it out.

Do you get fewer than 4 chests if you disable the debuffs? The names of the quests seemed to imply something like that. If so I would probably just want the one debuff gone.

Hmmm... not sure. Will have to try running them again to see.

You got 4 chests when you didn't disable any curses? Wow, that's excellent. You only get one chest if you disable three curses.

ETA: Did all four chests contain named loot and ingredients? Or were the 3 extra chests just junk chests?

You get 1 extra chest for each curse that was not disabled. I have not seen named loot from them, but did see Ingredients.

I figured out after running that quest in a group that the solution to the curses was to do the other quests first.

It's an interesting dilemma because, unless I'm mistaken, you can't block when climbing ladders or underwater, and shrining could be a potential nuisance too. That might make doing solo on a higher difficulty a somewhat different experience, because that sword thing can really hurt if you don't block it and/or can't heal well from the damage.
    On a break. BRB maybe.

So let me get this straight. You don't need to flag for the final quest but if you WANT to remove the curses you must run the quests that remove each curse respectively and if you have one curse in particular you dislike (or more) you WILL HAVE TO REPEAT the quest(s) associated with that curse EACH AND EVERY time you wish to run the end quest and want to remove the respective curse(s)? Ergo no flagging required, but possible flagging required by desirous situation? If true, its very corrupt-a-wish, true to form. So no (or substantially less) farming that end quest without additional leg-work.
