Dampened Shatterbow. Any other way to get it?

As the title states. Want to get the Shatterbow but even with a move silently/hide in the high 60 while doing heroic normal, the scorpions are likely to notice me. Is there any sort of trade-in as it was implemented with the Sands items?

Unfortunately no.

All I can suggest is sneaking w/ high move silently & hide, and invisibility. And practice. And of course if you do manage to get the chest, amke sure you use all your rerolls.

60 isn't bad. Bolster it with invisibility and you should be good. The bigger challenge is knowing the quest well enough to have the movement patterns down.

Does distracting with those rolling fire orbs do the trick or does that count as being spotted?

The Dampened Shatterbow is completely unbound, and I think the Shatterbow is, too (I just checked the first, but can't remember where I stashed the latter). Check the auction house and ask around, someone might have one they're willing to part with.
