    Default Beautiful Brontosaurus!!

I just wanted to say that I'm so impressed by the brontosaurus and wanted to give props to whoever designed it. I also really like that they are not aggressive (which is how I imagined them) and I appreciate the effort put into making this beautiful creature that adds amazing ambience and immersion to Isle of Dread

I couldn't agree more, all the Dinosaurs are beautiful but the Brontosaurus is awesome. I wish the ones I saw were more animated.

Thanks! We specifically wanted to make sure we at least had some representation from dinosaurs that were less likely to consider you food.

Warforged are made out of plant fibers. So they would be food.

Easy now...... I can't imagine a human brontosaurus hybrid being a pretty sight at all, and am pretty sure if such could speak its first words would be "Please kill me, existence is too painful"

Now that the joking is over, I second that, the Isle Of Dread is so far impressive!

Sounds really cool. Can someone post a screenshot of the Brontosaurus? I normally don't visit Lam.

    Not necessarily.

    Check the cladogram found here.

It seems the name "Brontosaurus" is still in the paleontological lexicon as an animal distinct from Apatosaurus.

What DDO put in the Isle of Dread wilderness area, I do not know.

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

It was deprecated as a junior synonym for many many years, but recently some work has tried to resurrect it as a distinct taxon

And it looks like those efforts were successful.

Does the animal have a whip tail? It so, it would be neat if the animators programmed in a whip tail attack that produced a thunder crack.

There's a dromaeosaurid mob on the island named Celiophysis...

I think it was supposed to be a Coelophysis, which was a small theropod, though not a "raptor" - its more slender, with a long neck and no hypertrophied toe claw. I didnt see if the Celiophysis had the claw or not, but they seemed to use the same body model as the Clawfoots overall

But the name is funny - Coelophysis means "formed hollow" and refers to holes in the vertebrae, similar to modern birds (to which they are related)....Celiophysis, however, can best be translated as "abdominal growth"

I was thinking it'd be fun if the big static quadrupedal herbivore tails had a "friendly" knockdown effect when they swing them around, like the dragon in the Marketplace
