    Default Normalize heroics.

I dunno how. Damage cap? Stat cap? Almost every MMO out there normalizes content so any character can play with any character while gaining the correct XP for their level. My biggest beef with the game is how isolated we are in the leveling process. The restrictions on group are so stringent. There must be a way. I would love it if we could find a method to normalize content so that I can hop on with a friend whenever I please and know that we can group and play while both benefiting from loot and XP in a fashion appropriate to our respective levels. The Gods demand it! They said 'pretty please' .....

Currently in heroics we can have up to a 4 level difference between characters with no effect on Leveling XP.

Would it be good for a gap bigger than that? What content could accommodate a spread like that and still allow it to be fun for both extremes?

What is the proposal? Down grade to the lowest? Upgrade to the highest? Average the levels/power between the high and low?

Currently the solution that is available is running multiple characters. That is not a popular solution, each person that doesn't like it has their own reasons why they won't entertain that solution.

I've been running with friends for approx. 15ish years on DDO, playing multiple characters all in different level ranges has allowed me to do so.

I dont think that auto-fitting characters into different content levels is not possible with DDO. It is imho an extremely complex thing only bigger companies are able to do. That's my opinion.
"You are a Tiefling. And a Cleric, with the Domain of the Sun. Doesn't that contradict each other ?" "No, all my friends are playing evil. I found that so boring that I decided to be on the good side. And, besides, Sun and Fire, where is the difference, really ?"

How would you normalize content so that a level 32 character can enjoy content with a level 1 character? Damage cap? Okay, but instakills make that point moot. Stat cap? Okay, but there are a variety of ways to gain DCs outside of stats. Normalize gear to lower levels? Okay, but higher-level gear tends to have more level-independent affixes that don't have lower-level equivalents. They would have to go through and spend an inordinate amount of developer time to individually nerf every single higher-level item.

What would be the monetary return for them? Wouldn't that developer time be better spent on bugs, new expansions, different cosmetics?
