    Default Destiny Points broken

I had 61 destiny points. I then ate a Tome of Destiny(Historic) and +1 store tome, and a +1 to +2 store tome.

I now have... 62 destiny points.

What's more the the breakdown of Total Fate Points says I've only got 2 tomes(instead of the 4 it should be). It does display the Feywild and Historic Tomes. I then went and grabbed the Isle of Dread tome, that worked but only got me up to 63, still no sign of the store tomes.

I have tried re-setting the trees and relogging multiple times, still no sign of them,

I cannot open a ticket because the in-game ticketing system is and has been broken for the past 2 years. Does anyone have any other suggestions for things I can try to get my(very expensive) points back?

The Tomes of Fate you have consumed should appear in the Fate Point breakdown section of the Epic Destiny window. Note that Fate Points and Destiny points are two different totals.

+1-+2 store tome of fate does not guarantee another destiny point. you get 1 destiny point per 3 fate points

That explains a lot. Ok, then everything should be fine.

This system is so confusing, this is hardly an isolated incident...

just get rid of fate points entirely. They have no reason they need to exist. Just have destiny points by themselves.

    So much this.

Convert fate points to destiny points and get rid of them entirely. It is just confusing.

LOL, yes. I confuse myself every time I try to explain it to someone.

While there, change it from 1 DP per 9 EPLs and another 1 DP per 12 EPLs to just 1:10. It's a v.slight gain in DP earned rate, but a monumental gain to ease of explanation. I know you're trying to tie it to the past system with it's earnings all by triplets, but why? Just make it simple.

Fate points do provide additional benefit as well. You get +2 HPs and +1 SPs per fate point. So I prefer not to get rid of them.

The answer to that is simple either triple the costs in points spent in the trees and just use fate points as currency or alternatively triple the bonus hp's and sp's and add them to destiny points to remove fate points. Either way you then have a simpler system to understand and only 1 set of points to keep track of.

Better still ditch the bug riddled, unbalanced mess that is the new ED system and roll back to the previously working one. Yes I know that ship has sailed and it will never happen but I personally still think the old system was better balanced, more flexible and easier to use and understand. The new system is a step down in every aspect.

And a major stomach ache I'm sure! Books (especially magical tomes) are extremely hard to digest (if not properly cooked).

Destiny/Fate points are my least favorite part of the entire game. Like, they are #1 on the dislike list. Too confusing and when I think I'm making progress I'm not still being stuck at the exact same Destiny point total. A suggestion; a panel/tab that shows precisely where you are toward fate/destiny points. For example, you just added a PL of Brace, and here is where it shows up.

IMO, this system is unnecessarily confusing, just like LGS crafting now that the planner I use is no longer available .

Anyone have a link to a functioning LGS crafting planner (other than wiki)?

Maybe with a grain of salt ?

Goats can do that, by the way. They have the necessary enzymes etc. to digest paper ...
"You are a Tiefling. And a Cleric, with the Domain of the Sun. Doesn't that contradict each other ?" "No, all my friends are playing evil. I found that so boring that I decided to be on the good side. And, besides, Sun and Fire, where is the difference, really ?"

My first reaction was that even in less than a month I have seen a lot of confusion over fate points - maybe it is a system whose time has come ... and gone.

But today I had my first exposure to the system in-game. Talking to the trainers for the epic destiny trees. It seemed clear enough that fate points and destiny points were entirely different things.

On the other hand - in another month I will probably take it all for granted, not read what the NPCs have to say and totally confuse the two.

Sorry but in another month you will probably start to realize how fate points and destiny points are actually related. From the sound of it atm all your destiny points are coming from either taking the destinies or leveling (these give destiny points at a flat rate. 1 per destiny and 4 per level). As you gain epic past lives though you will start to accrue fate points and that's where the confusion will start. 3 Epic past lives = 1 fate point and 3 fate points then make 1 destiny point that's added to your total and available from level 20. Add to that extra fate points from tomes of fate and epic completionist as you obtain them and trying to keep track starts to become more and more of an issue.

    Fair point.

If you're okay with an offline solution, https://github.com/Pfhoenix/DDONamed...anner/releases has a LGS gear planner.
