Lifetime subscriber returning to game

All though Im not new-new to the game, Im thinking this is the right place to post this question its been 10 years since I played DDO, but here I am giving it at new try...

Can anyone point me to where I can read up on what my lifetime subscribtion includes today?

DDO has never offered a life time subscription so IDK what to tell you.

They offered it once, in an extremely limited number, as part of a contest - I believe.


Is Cleanna one of those lucky folks? I dunno. Probably, functionally, the Lifetime works like the Season's Pass did - everything VIPs get, likely included. Expansions, likely not.


As for your question, Cleanna, DDO Wiki is probably the best place to catch up on a decade's worth of changes and what's current. The forums here also have a lot of knowledgeable and helpful folks - who can hopefully answer any questions you may have. You could also try PMing Cordovan, the Community Manager for SSG here on the forums. Anything behind the curtain that we players wouldn't have an inkling about - he should be able to answer.

Any "lifetime" membership is beyond my ken, and the Wiki doesn't have anything on it either, so no help there. :/

afaik, this is accurate, it was a very limited number for some event\contest\sorta stuff



afaik, it means that your account is flagged permanently as vip. as simple as that. so look at what vip subscription offers, you should have it permanently without having to pay for it. like, after years you are probably swimming in ddo points, cause as vip you got 500 every month.

a clarification from ssg is the safe way to go, so probably the best is waiting if a dev answer in this thread or send a pm to the community manager Cordovan, i guess

You are incorrect. Lifetime subscription has never been offered for sale but has been awarded as limited prizes for a few contests and events.

We have never offered a Lifetime Subscription for sale, but we have given something like fewer than a dozen away over the years. I know we gave away some (daily?) Lifetime subs during visits to PAX East and Gen Con; I specifically was involved in the Gen Con thing, which was based on having the highest score at the end of the day for the Spinner of Shadows three minute challenge, if anyone remembers how we took that bit from the quest and turned it into a 3 minute convention game. Side note on that game: Unfortunately, due to the way it was built, I have heard that it would need to be re-built from the ground up essentially to add it to the game.

Cleanna unfortunately mixed up the lifetime subscription to lotro with ddo.

Yeah this was the in-game score contest I was referring to. I think there was also one for...festivault or something that had a couple of winners too?
