This situation is ridiculous.
SSG Customer Service says to contact Xsolla because it's not SSG's problem.
Xsolla doesn't respond. Instead there's a response from Ayden that immediately closes the ticket because you aren't a customer. Who the hell is Ayden?
Submitting yet another ticket, SSG Customer Service says to "contact your bank" when you don't even have the opportunity to get to the payment page before you get an error message. There is no insight with the error message to indicate why the purchase system is failing:
Even if you delete all payment information from your account, the error still happens.
Players are trying to pay for the expansion, and no one wants to take the money. No one wants to own this. Everyone is pointing fingers at someone else. It's deplorable customer service and a nightmare for players.
If the expansion were giftable, I would have happily bought it for OP and he would have xfered the money to me as a work around. But that's not an option anymore. Players are just screwed.

Yeah, I tried gift cards, prepaid cards, no go.
Paypal was working for me but I cannot link a prepaid or gift card in Paypal and select that as payment.
Its very picky.
To the OP: I assume you tried clearing your browser cache and is not using a prepaid or gift card to pay for it in the DDO market?

I used normal credit card which is accepted everywhere, but not in DDO. Paypal is not even shown as posibility

Same problem can't even get to the confirmation, it just gives that error when trying to get to the payment info.
And I've used this card for purchasing vip last month.
Also paypal was an option an hour ago but now it doesn't even show as an option.
I submitted a ticket but they don't seem to care at all for customers. It's a joke, the release a sale promotion for the anniversary but you can't buy anything. The release a limited time free transfer but you cannot transfer...
Always the same, they really make you think if you should still be stupid enough to keep giving them money...
But hey, we get another "mini expansion" this year...
For me, the issue I had when paying by credit card was there was a field when filling out the form where you have to provide your zip code. It's not labeled very well.
That said, I agree that support has been abysmal.

Did you log in first at the very top of the screen under Store Account Log In before trying to make the purchase?
Most people don't notice that and click Buy or Upgrade first and then things mess up.
I don't know if for everyone but for me Paypal charges me for putting money on it and then on every single purchase. So it's not really an option for me. Plus taxes on every transaction.
I need to use the credit card and I would like to be able to take advantage of the special sales that only last for a few days... (another **** move), it won't repeat until next year probably.
I made a ticket and nothing, hours have passed and the problem persists.
I get the error even while not trying to purchase, just by going to my payment options and clicking ok or modifying it. I multiplechecked and every single detail is ok even the postal code.
Yes of course i logged in.
I even opened a new credit card just to pay for expansions i wanted (Feywild and SaltMarsh), and my new credit card provider (Mastercard) got verification from Daybreak as valid and that purchase could be made.
Entered payment source with all data filled, everything was accepted but when i click on Buy now button, browser loads the same expansion page as if nothing was selected.
Contacted support, got several replies but all they could do to help me is to ask me to clear cache and cookies. I of course did that and tried other browsers, other computers and nothing helped.
So it seems i will miss this opportunity to buy expansions at a reduced price, and it also seems i am not the only one having problems.
I thought it was first priority to enable people to purchase things you are selling, but guess i was wrong

I still didn't get any response from them. I guess they don't need the money. Since they made the offer for very few days I guess I will miss the chance too...
Well maybe next year the market page works...
Contacted couple of friends and asked them to try to purchase any Expansion but they also failed to do so.
They were not active last couple od years (same as me) so maybe that is the problem.
I think there is some kind of problem with Daybreak purchasing sistem when checking ddo account
Friend with VISA Card can make a purchase, but failed with Mastercard

Still no answer from SSG. The problem persists. The other day I tried to make the purchase via Paypal (big mistake)
I could successfully "complete" the purchase on the paypal side, except that when it loaded the ddo site again with the same error (which now appears no matter what even if you don't try to buy anything), so I didn't actually complete the purchase so I got no goods, but my money was still charged from y credit card.
I already submitted a ticket yesterday but no answer. Luckily I only tried to purchase the basic 10 dolar sharn expansion.
It suffices to say that I will never again spend a single coin on this scammer company and I better get my money back (either paypal or the credit card company because this guys most probably won't aknowledge anything), or I may make a lawsuit just for 10 USD. I don't like to be robbed, but hopefully I get a solution to this problem. To the buying problem... I already don't care. You can save your "annyversary sales" for the clients you actually care (meaning, no one)
I've never seen a company so reckless and uncaring with their customers and it makes no sense. Don't you want/need the money? The goods ridiculous high prices say you do, but your lack of response with this issues says otherwise.
Mastercard is problem. When i entered VISA card in payment source everything passed without problems.

If it is a credit card payment issue, you can call the customer service line of your credit card (usually printed on the back of the card). Have them check to see if the charge is being blocked for fraud reasons. If it is, they can transfer you to their fraud department and then you can authorize the charge with them.
I had to do this once while buying something for a foreign made online PC/mobile game.
