    Default New XP Boost options

Would like to suggest a new XP boost option.

I would like to see an option/ pot that one could take that would do the following:

XP pot #1: Reaper XP pot - This pot does not activate unless you are in a reaper quest (IE not in LH raids/ explorer areas etc)

XP pot #2: XP Boost Pot (end reward)- This pot only affects end reward XP and is 1 time / pot (this would allow people to try harder difficulties without sweating over the "My XP pot is running.......need to zerg FAST"). This would / could stop the zerg fest of having a vet join groups and zerging it to make sure they are not wasting their XP pot.

These types of XP pots might allow a slower pace.

Also, would like to see some sort of option to allow a "non 1st time bonus" from applying (IE if you wanted to join a group running EE or even R1-6, but were worried about not maximizing your 1st time XP, you could activate this option and not allow you to use up yours 1st time XP).

    Thoughts?

Just have pots give a total amount of bonus. IE a million extra xp at a rate of 30% of the quest total.

Splitting this into reaper / not reaper actually makes this work better because then you don’t try to minimize normal xp to maximize reaper xp.

But the timed xp pot option is toxic.

Great ideas. Anything that enables more ways to play the game is a good thing. If you're not playing the game you're probably not spending money on the game. Enabling more ways to play will generate more revenue on top of whatever these ideas would cost. Plenty of times I've been in the game but logged out because groups were only doing things that would hurt my xp pot time. I'd join this raid but it'd kill my xp pot so I guess I'll log out and go do something else etc. I would've bought a raid timer too but alas...

DDO definitely needs to be more flexible than it is right now.

Every time I attempt to use a timed Experience Point Potion I end up wasting half of it. Last time, I wasted three entire potions for no benefit at all because I did not understand an Experience mechanic. My Vault is stuffed with dozens of Experience Point Potions I am too afraid to use. Things comes up. My hands hurt. I probably spend 33% of my time in dungeons away from the keyboard. The Lord of the Rings Online has items that add Blue Bar Experience. Those things work no matter what.

Different sorts of XP boost ideas? Here's one that helps address two problems:
Mentorship manual - using this item (from hotbar, with another character targetted) drains 1,000,000 RXP from the user and doubles the next 100,000 RXP earned by the target.

After use, this manual becomes a "token of Mentorship" exchangeable to the vendor that sells the manuals for exclusive cosmetics, or new manuals. These would be sold by a new reaper vendor accessible at 150 Reaper points.

Default First one would be great for me

Since now I am farming rxp in endgame with xp pots a LOT of times I don´t join raids because I would loose the xp pot. A good solution could be that at endgame ALL xp pots only work for reaper XP since players don´t get more normal xp so outside of reaper and even in slayer areas the xp pot would not tick.

DDO need a quality of life change post so people can gather these information.

Both of these are great ideas. Not everyone will want both, but a significant % of the playerbase will want at least one or the other.

An RXP-only pot is handy for those chasing that goal, and self-explanatory.

Too often I've been in a "pot(s) running!" group, and while I can keep up, it changes and imo hurts the game experience overall and for all concerned.

Another (maybe) easier option would be to allow pausing xp/slayer/whatever pots. That way you can join a raid or do a new unknown quest or help out some new players. Make it so it has to be paused in a public area and upon reactivating, lockout players from reentering quests that were started while paused. This will prevent abusing the timer.

Absolutely yes, pots being time based is bad for grouping. And especially bad at cap when people on pot don't want to join anything but quick high skull rxp farm.

And something has to change about first-time bonus xp reaper too. It is a waste to do a lower skull first. Also very bad for grouping.

    I like the ideas of

    - total xp gained instead of time based for pots

    - pause pot

    - suspend first time rxp bonus - so you can join a party doing r1-4, then activate your first time bonus once you make/join a group doing higher reaper.
