Shutdown logging onto servers

I am just returning to DDO after several years...

I downloaded the launcher, and initially every thing seemed ok... I logged onto Argonesson, and got as far as the character selection screen. I selected a character and the game started loading... and froze until I shut it down, about an hour later.

Now, I log in, and every time I select a server, it starts to connect, then simply terminates entirely!

Ran Installer 'repair' option, no change.

I'm using a refurbished Dell Lat, w' Intel i5, 64 bit, 16g ram, under Windows 10 pro. Standard Windows firewall.

Hoping someone can offer me a direction...??

Check what version of the client you're using. From the launcher, select Options and I think in the general tab you can select the 32-bit version. See if that helps.
