Default Level cap raise to 32 and ETR process

Will the level cap raising to 32 change the epic tr process in any way? If so how?

    Example:

Will we now ETR at 32?

Nope! Iconic and ETRs will stay at level 30 no matter what happens to the level cap with Isle of Dread

So 30+ is hopefully an entirely new system?

Perhaps all end game gear shall remain ML29?

Pull that off and I think the "don't raise the level cap" crowd (of which I'm a member) might buy into it.

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

Honestly, I'd hate that less than invalidating all gear and content that is at cap now.

What makes you think I'm jesting?

I honestly think that's what SSG is going to do.

It's not a suggestion. It's a prediction so likely it borders on certainty.

The more I've thought about this the more palatable it seems. Not being facetious - if they really don't want to totally upend the entire endgame that has been built since RL this is probably the way to do it. Add more power and *grind* without leaving the endgame at 12 dungeons and a raid from IOD.

Oh all of that will be gone, sort of. If you keep leveling past 30 for more RXP, or to do the new content, none of your level 29-30 gear will remain BiS past ~35 (it will still be relevant in the same way that level 15 Sharn sets are from 15~29) and the real endgame will eventually settle at 40 for a couple of years (but we'll still be killing deity level rats and spiders)

But just like people on the TR treadmill not needing to level past 18, people doing ETR/ITR will be able to ignore the new "endgame" until it develops out to a similar level of content. On the way there, once the cap hits 35 or 38 they'll introduce LTR for another grind to increase character power.

Yeah, that all sounds about right - will be interesting to see what SSG thinks we can stomach!

Ok, now, you know I love you mate, so don't be annoyed with me but: that was a sneaky answer worthy of Microsoft's marketing department, even given the context in which the question was being asked*.

So go have a shower and when you've scrubbed all the ick off and feel clean again: when the cap goes to 35 (which I assume is still on the cards)... what then?

*...I work supporting eSkills at a large org. I have to read a lot of Microsoft stuff so they are on my mind all the time, so I do apologise if comparing you to MS' weaselly ways was taking it over the line
