UPDATE…
I tried with two different computers.
One older OS and one with Windows 10.
BOTH get the “Game Error” window popup : (
I'm getting the same error message and can't get into the game after logging in.
Splash screen loads, then when it switches to the screen with the loading bar, the error message appears and the client closes.

Just got home fired the game up and after the patch I am having the same issue. I have been playing the game on this PC for a couple years with no problems.
EDIT: I tried the repair but have the same problem.

Are most people with this issue using a Windows Vista or XP system? I'm wondering if the patch caused an issue with the Legacy Client.
I borrowed a family member's Windows 10 laptop that had an old installation of DDO that hadn't been updated in about a year. After launching DDO on the Windows 10 machine and waiting for it to download and install all of the patches to bring it up to date, I was able to successfully enter the game worlds. Unfortunately, this machine's hardware is really bad at running DDO.
Hoping this issue can be resolved by the devs so I can play DDO on my Vista machine again. It's the only computer I've got for playing DDO, and I'm essentially locked out of the game now.

I finally got mine to work. I played with the options which appears on the same screen where you enter username/password. I went to 64-bit, which I don't have so it failed. Then went back to 32 bit and it worked. Very odd.
P.S. I am using Ubunbtu/Wine. No windbloze here.
Looking at the game files, I located the apparent issue, but don't know how to fix it:
My computer will only run the dndclient_awesomium client, which has a version number ending in 4024 and was last updated two weeks ago.
The other clients are dndclient and dndclient64, which have a version number ending in 4026 and were updated yesterday.
Did the devs forget to patch the dndclient_awesomium client?

Checking again today SAME ISSUE : (
DDO will no longer run!
Whatever SSG did with the last patch caused this issue and I have yet to receive a response as to a fix.
And yes, my Windows 10 notebook has the same issue trying to log in.
I just tried running both *.exe files (DNDLauncher & TurbineLauncher) both give same error.
Trying to run dndclient_awesomium.exe gives the error Game Error 205 “the game client was passed invalid command-line parameter. [205]”
Also tried changing the clients to 64 and 32… no go!
32 does nothing.
64 opens the x64 directory asking for a file.
32 leg gives the above error.
PLEASE help this is Day 2 of not being able to get in-game!
yes they somehow didnt patch the other .exe files thats why client out of date.
sadly.
all what we can do is wait.
i wish a dev or a manager could look into this thread and tell us what they will do about it.
i dont want to write a ticket to not take their spare time. maybe it was intended.
Been playing on the same PC for several years. Never and issue logging on until this last update. Is the company doing anything to fix this problem? Wrote them and have yet to here anything back.
Seems like no more playing DDO.
Well it was a nice time, have fun and take care.
Here is hoping that after Update 52 we can log back into game : )
