I hope so. Watching the effect Amazon Lord of the Rings has on LOTRO this fall should be a good indicator. Then again that's a big budget long term thing. Who knows if this D&D movie will be as terrible and forgettable as the 2000s one. If it bombs I wouldn't imagine we'd see much effect.

I just hope Neverwinter doesn't get the promotion for a D&D MMO instead of DDO. DDO is much closer to D&D, Neverwinter is basically WOW & Asia pay2win grinder, just in a D&D skin.

I like the 2000 film in a "so bad it's good" way ;-)

I like a lot of those "bad" sword and sorcery films. More so from the 80s though, with practical effects than from the 90s onwards with poor CGI.

Most excellent. Some big names, they are putting some money into the film, encouraging sign.

At worst, I feel safe to say it would have a minor boost for DDO. Best case, huge surge (in proportion to the existing player base, so 5000 new players would be huge). Likely case, a good boost for DDO.

D&D PnP current version? maybe
BG3? maybe

the issue was never solved


a company unable to get cash is unable to profit from advertise, on the contrary, will turn customers away.

also they made some races free, but they key issue is the content


yet again bad marketing and bad management will drag the game down and will make it look bad. ddo is wonderful, it deserves better.
