Default What Would Happen If SSG Fixed All Of The Bugs In DDO?

Humorous answers and serious answers welcome

My only answer is a humorous one: Players would mysteriously start getting Isekai'd into the game.

Pretty sure someone can do better than me there XD

But really, would it still be the DDO we all know and love if there were no bugs left?

With no bugs left to squash, Lynnabel's Bug Killer would lose all direction and purpose in life. As part of their midlife crises, these items would all have the inverse stats of their level. Level 5 & 30, 10 & 25, and 15 & 20 would all swap stats. Further, minimum level would now function as a maximum level.

What if their Bug Killer started causing bugs?

    Error fixed

If all bugs are fixed, and the fixing of those bugs is what these mysterious happenstances are predicated upon, then I would submit that if his Bug Killer were to cause more bugs, the existence of those bugs would remove whatever mysterious force was allowing things such as being trapped in video games and inanimate pieces of code having midlife crises.

Things would return to normal unless and until those new bugs were fixed, at which time we would cycle back to your original question, and various humorous answers given.

They’d receive a new dev feat: you win ddo.

And then we’d have nothing to complain about.

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone fixes all the bugs in the game code, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and bug ridden.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

If the Devs fixed every last bug in DDO at this time, never fear, there's a new expansion coming that will definitely create new bugs. And those new bugs would probably re-enable all the old ones!!! So dont throw away that can of Raid.

The actual answer would probably be: We'd wake up the next morning with new bugs to fix.

Wait. This game has bugs? I never realized this until it was recently brought to light. You mean the game that I have been playing since release and been paying for VIP for has bugs? I don't know if my money is well spent now. The other people in my ddo cave will not be happy when they hear about this. Also can I get a refund for the past 16 years?

    The PC's processor would melt.
"You are a Tiefling. And a Cleric, with the Domain of the Sun. Doesn't that contradict each other ?" "No, all my friends are playing evil. I found that so boring that I decided to be on the good side. And, besides, Sun and Fire, where is the difference, really ?"

Dividing by zero would then become possible.

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

Someone would STILL Login to the forums just to post an angry rant about ambiguous but game-ruining bugs, all while blaming it on one particular dev or another, who also just happens to hate whatever class that person plays.

One man's bug is another man's "feature."
