Default Relocating or copying of those pawn brokers into Marketplace please.

    Hello,

I see lots of good items in the barter window of the marketplace pawn brokers. A lot of these good items are good enough for casuals like me, and a few are even so good that veterans coukld profit from them, too.
I know, because I often get good stuff during the guild runs (we do everything on elite). Some of them I sell to the pawn brokers.
So good, sometimes, that I seriously wonder how many good items get lost because no-one wants to go the long way to the Kundarak & Deneith pawn brokers ? Plus those from Eveningstar.

I mean, to me, it is really a waste of good resources not to enable casuals and non-veterans to get good armor and good weapons from pawn brokers, simply because people are too lazy to go to Kundarak & Denaith for that. I know, because I count the number of items in the barter windows there and compare that to the number of items from the pawn brokers in the market place.

Plus, those from Eveningstar. Nice items, but never seen in Kundarak or Deneith ( my guess is that people use them as kind of replacements for the ones in Kundarak & Deneith ).

Ideal would be, imho to make copies of these vendors, if possible.
( It might not be possible, though, I don't know, but I suspect that by the removal from Jorasco to Market Place ).

There are 2 locations which would be ideal for them :

    1. On the opposite side of the Market Place Hireling Vendors.
    2. On the opposite Side of the Market Place Fate Spinner.

This way, good random loot stuff could be distributed more evenly. Imho.

I would up it by having 1) anything sold to tavern owners, general suppy folks etc find its way onto the pawn brokers 2) have these things post onto the AH with PB listed as seller

Pawn broker buys it off folks and unloads is wherever they can (AS, their own little shop)
What on earth does a tavern do with all that gear? They need to unload it—pawn brokers, who then also plop it on the AH

I would also have tavern people buy stuff at a greatly reduced rate. “Hey, I sell beer! I don’t have space for your junk. What am I supposed to do with a kukri? Ain’t seen anyone come in here with one!”

Are you not the guy (Arlik) who enjoys the plot and story lines of DDO?

Now you're asking to have brokers moved, for no good plot/story line, but simply to make it more convenient for you?

    tsk tsk ...

What does plot and story have to do with the setup of locations within Stormreach ?

The town itself rather has not a story. (And those floating billboards were removed ages ago.). story and plot takes place rather within the quests - and the questgiver dialogs.

In another MMO a guild friend complained that people were rushing through everything. And I might add : As if there was no story at all in existence.
DDO quests could exist entirely of bland, grey tunnels made of concrete, and people would still play them if they contained loot & xp.

Maybe a developer could write a script that triggers when an instance with a pawn broker closes. At the moment of closure, all unbound items on the pawn broker are moved to the Auction House, buyout equal to base value plus one platinum piece. Repeat for each broker, then shut down the instance as normal.

Items swept to the Auction House in this way are 'owned' by a back end house character. Anything that does not sell in three days gets deleted. All sale proceeds get deleted.

    Maybe it would help.

Personally, I always use the key and go to eveningstar to vendor. Then one of the other teleport clickies I have (assuming I don't have teleport/greater teleport on toon for whatever reason). You just can't beat that area, imo. You got all 4 brokers, level unrestricted, a general vendor, and a bank, all within a couple seconds of each other.
