Thank you! That was very helpful. I don't believe there is any other race that we can "scroll down" so far in the character creation screen and usually a color palette is the last item so I did NOT notice that this screen went beyond the obvious.

However I still DO NOT see a Facial Details option and even hitting Randomize keeps the scar. Please indicate where this Facial Details selector is located.

No but I'm done cooking so I guess I can take a few minutes to see if and how that affects Tabaxi.

Edit: Tried a couple store bought dyes such as Royal Blue, Elven Forest, does not appear that hair dyes have any affect on Tabaxi fur colors.

2nd edit the dyes change the marking colors so not as obvious zoomed out, especially if your markings were grey to start... but zoomed in you can have some wild marking colors (I finally noticed with Gianthold purple)

Yes, MUCH better rendering on the right.

Seriously, SSG. Why don't you hire Aelonwy for your Art Department?

She could really help you out.

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

The Shifter faces have the same issue, their face/nose features are huge and droopy. As I semi-joked before, they look like Vincent with a stroke.

(thinks back to PDK and Half-Elf appearances)
Well here we go again, I guess...

I haven't downloaded Llama, I just don't bother with the previews anymore since feedback is nearly always universally* ignored, but yeah - they look pretty bad. Nothing like the WotC art in the books, at least. Besides being cat-people, I guess. But the proportions are wacky and frankly off-putting. Not going to bother posting examples of the book art - Google Image Search exists for everybody. The hair-dye thing... wow. Either just disable it, or have it affect the markings body wide. Because that looks laughable, imho. This so far is a swing-and-a-miss, likewise imho.

While I doubt the above will affect anything at all, just wanted to put in my two bits in the hopes it might.

    * yes, okay, they have acted upon feedback once in every three or four blue moons. but by in large, the track record is not good.

DDO desperately needs new art direction. The artists at Standing Stone Games can produce nice things. Someone between the artists and us is in the way.

Edit: Having thought further upon this matter, I cannot know why the people at Standing Stone Games do what they do or who bears responsibility. Tabaxi do not appeal to me but I was sincerely open to making one, probably as a storage character, if they looked nice. In my opinion, based on pictures thus far provided, they look ugly and wrong, just like every race introduced to DDO since I started playing in 2013. Racial artwork for The Lord of the Rings Online is about a million percent better than what DDO gets.

Also, the pirates associated with the Isle of Dread are not based on the pirates that raided along the coasts of the Americas. They are based on slave traders who raided the islands of southeast Asia for men and women. The men were taken to Australia where they were forced into indentured servitude as miners. The women suffered the fate of all women captured by slavers. The British Empire banned such commerce and actively hunted the slavers, thus their status as pirates. If you want to learn about the subject, I suggest reading the harrowing biography of Jack Renton, The White Headhunter.

Default i Like them....cats in general.

I did try the hairstyle scroll bar on both male and female Tabaxi. 14 hairstyles + facial hair for male, 1of1 hairstyle and no facial hair for females. I would like to see some choice in cheek hair or ear tufts, long or short whiskers and some sort of handlebar mustache for the males because FUN!

I tried to add a spunky bun the the female Tabaxi and it failed to make any change. Maybe the text for hair styles needs to say it excluded female Tabaxi? Hair dye changes spot color...top of head as already mentioned.

I noticed that a different combo of skin color/making color changed spots in a nice eliminating way. And dye that male mane blue! So fierce...

Stripes would be a nice option as many felines have stripes or spots darkening into stripes.

On this world, earth, spots and stripes are camo to hide from prey and predator and even bright orange tigers are nearly impossible to see with a little shade. Almost the only time you see a cougar is if they are ill, crazy or on your porch night vision camera.

I do like playing them. No need for featherfall enhancement is nice.

The dino rides and hirelings are the BOMB... and I don't say that lightly. watching the hireling do that tail spin is sooo entertaining, and his swipe attack reminds me of carnage game so lol. The mounts occasionally whinny. Which is weirds but maybe that was their last meal? (as in so hungry I could eat a horse??? all your horse>< get in my belly?)

Some of the new cosmetics look like place holders on Tabaxi, as though they weren't quite ready for them. If WAI, well eugh.. not really what I think of as a long-coat. the pirate hat is cool though!

Dino ride lets you move-and-ride while summoning first hireling then vanishes. So A little problem there.

    >....and now a strange whining sound fills the thread....quickly! move down to the next post!...<

I just want to say something about the new sticky runearm problem. It is so difficult to dismount while having a toggled(or not toggled) runearm that maybe you should go back to dismount-while-charging-toggled as standard. The random half dismount charging runearm standing in the middle of the mount with runearm actively charging can't shoot till you discharge said runearm is very off putting. AnNoYiNg...like me!
I had earlier adjusted my play style to the randomness of dismounts, but now the random is so random that the randomness of the random is randomizing every random thing for random me. Random.
Just let us use the charging hotbar icon to dismount and start charging that runearm. Is anyone not runearm-impaired (ie. cleric-fighter-barbarians) having problems with 1/2dismounts? or sticky mounts? This takes me back to prelaunch mount days when I spent soooo much time in screenshot mode that I really filled up my hard drive updown over and over.... I hat the horse hats, not at all flattering and well does my horse hat make me look fat... i know it does.
