Fire Caster in Draconic with Dripping with Magma - dot stacking issue

How do you handle the fact that the (fire) dot from the Draconic (fire based) mantle is overwritten by the Dripping with Magma dot when playing a Fire Sorc (or other fire based nuker)?

Personally, I simply dont use the enhancement (Inevitable) for the mantle dot once I get to 30 and equip Dripping with Magma but I still use the mantle for the 10% cd reduction and the instant damage part (just not the extra ticks from the dot) - but I am wondering if there might be a better solution to this issue.

Is it still overwriting the Draconic DOT? And how would you remedy this?

On another note, do you know if Dripping with Magma scales with spell power &/or Spell Crit?

Im finding it difficult to test.
