Legendary Goldcursed Dagger vs Raellia, the Frostblade for sentient gem?

This is on an assassin build.

I do have Pain and Suffering, with the Pain dagger being maxed out on Sentient xp. I use this set for bosses and up till now all all the time.

I like the crowd control ability of Legendary Goldcursed Dagger and Raellia, the Frostblade, so would like to make one of them a secondary sentient weapon. Right now I could see using both of these as a pair for trash, but hope to make a legendary green steel Salt dagger soon. Will likely slot an endless night augment and a Deconstructor augment in both. Unless someone has a compelling argument for something different. yes both have improved Destruction but the augment also gives them Adamantine bypass for when the mobs is frozen.

Do either of these work better has a main hand weapon versus an off hand weapon?

So back to the original question, which should I make the sentient and later pair with a LGS Salt?

I'm finding the Raellia, the Frostblade not really freezing enemies and seems that it rarely procs, do you have it proc often? More than Legendary Goldcurse Dagger?

I haven’t tested but if you are full TWF, I suspect your ideal set up for trash would be main hand Keeper of the Crimson Conv and off hand Leg Goldcursed. In which case sent would go in KoCC.

That's the setup I sometimes run with, when I can remember to swap Leg GCD.
Though I heard they nerfed KotCC slay living from when it went live, which sucked because I farmed two of them, bought a Lesser TR+1 twice to be 19/1 Cleric and back to 20 Rogue for those daggers and run the Raid to upgrade them and now other daggers have a poor mans version of that proc.

I am full TWF and I do have a dull dagger but have not had the opportunity to fully upgrade it yet. With the various projects I have going it may be a very long time before I am able to upgrade it. Also I have not seen many reports of people using to great success but worth trying. Until then I have the Goldcursed and the Frostblade.

in very limited testing their proc rates seems similar, but perhaps more testing is needed.

The frostblade has a %chance to proc, I think it's 10% but I'm not sure. The Goldcursed Dagger procs every time it crits. I would put the gem on the GCD

This. They will nerf the Goldcurse at some point to being a chance to proc instead of on crit. It is wildly better for trash than everything else and it is a fast easy quest (well, the Nightmare gives a lot of trouble in high reaper but if you just want the dagger, elite is a quick farm.) On top of this, it seems that the Goldcurse effect is helpless (not entirely sure) whereas many other weapons that have Legendary Paralyzing (a mere % chance on hit) is PROBABLY not helpless. Would like to see a study on this but again, if this is so, all the more I predict an incoming nerf.

Heroic frrezing ice in the offhand procs on the mainhand. I assume that would be the case for Legendary Freezing Ice. So you could make a case for Raellia in the offhand for trash but the math would show a pair of goldcurses would still proc more CC.

I have not made a Salt. Using 2 Goldcurses are extremely effective in my limited experience; I have seen so many reapers goldcursed, huge relief. The CON drain, while ineffective in Legendary content, technically should reduce their Fortitude save which is the DC of the Goldcurse, so hitting them with a pair is win-win.

Carpone master rogue in his thread has Goldcursed and does not recommend KoTCC. I think he uses Salt/Dust depending on party composition in the offhand (edited) but see thread. https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...Assassin/page2

That is my setup until I can grind one of these:
