To my knowledge, "testing" only occurs on Lamannia or possibly a server internal to SSG to which most players don't have access.

Do you mean some sort of warning about the servers going down? If so, yes, there's usually an in-game warning in one of the chat channels 30 mins or so before they go down. Sometimes the warning is less than a half hour and sometimes there's no warning at all, though.

Sorry, I didn't realize we were in the Lamannia forums.

The answer is yes, they do tell us ahead of time by like a day or so.

Check the Lamannia Dev Tracker here occasionally to see when they're going to bring it up.

Keep in mind that most people do not search threads by type, but rather use the new post and dev tracker. Also keep in mind you asked about testing, which is never avaialable to most players. Lamania is a preview server, not a test server. I do not think the response to the query was justified or appropriate.

Correct. I think as the OP is understanding the term, though, the answer is we typically try to get a preview thread up around a day before it opens IF WE CAN. Depends a lot on what is being previewed and how the process of getting it ready to preview is going, but that's the general idea.

There has to be at least some level of testing done internally or nothing would work that's referring to the preview server

The devs do their own testing. What Cordovan is agreeing with is Lamannia is not a "test server", it's a "preview server".

There was no such admission.

The fact that Lamannia is a preview server does NOT mean there was no testing. Also it's impossible to provide new content without testing.
