Can you play a solo ranged Warlock?

I love aura warlock.

Trust me i get WHY the aura-lock is so popular, hell its basically a better version of what my Wiz/Fighter was designed to do I just really want to play a ranged/chain Lock. I'm sure I'll play a Aura Warlock at some point too
