Please fix this EXPLOIT!

This is just from a few hours of playing. Of course I have to solo everything since everyone on my server is busy cheating. There are absolutely no 20+ groups for anything else ever. Is this really how you want your game to be played? All the content ignored with only a single old quest being exploited.

First, when I pull up my LFM page, the diff groups are not mis-aligned like that - so that's clearly a cut/paste over several hours/days/weeks/whatever. So bad form to present it as otherwise, and second, lame effort.

If(?) it's over a few hours, I'm guessing it's "the same" group that has the leader drop and the next leader post their own LFM to keep things going, and that just repeats. You'd never see that as a single page.


That said, I've never understood why some "optional" XP is delivered before finishing the main quest, but other is delayed til the end. It makes the VoM a pain to time, and makes that optional a MUCH easier mini-quest within the quest. Just have it all add up, delivered on completion, done. (And if a latecomer misses that Opt, no late credit for it, sorry.)

I'd miss the easy XP, but fair's fair. <shrugs>

I think I've seen one LFM once for this on Cannith, so what server are you on? Also plenty of LFM's for a lot of other epic stuff.

If they nerfed it, people would always find something else that was the fastest way to level or just quit instead, since the one of the only reasons people stand for the ever increasing TR treadmill is because of quick exp options. Its a much better solution for them to make leveling through other quests more enticing.

If you aren't seeing it on Argo, then you aren't looking.

It's a pretty lame "exploit" (and it isn't an exploit, by the way) because you'll end up better off just running content once and done on Elite or R1 and getting that sweet XP bonus. You'll level WAY faster than grinding out tedious optional XP on Wiz King.

Also, those screen shots seem to be presented as if they're all happening at the same time, but it's pretty obviously taken one at a time. You will sometimes see a "wiz king optional" LFM, but it's certainly not a significant percentage of all the LFMs on any server.

This is on Thelanis. It is a very common LFM here. It isn't uncommon to be the only LFM for 20-29. The devs know about it.

No matter what the devs do or don't do a group will dislike it. From discussing it with others it is only very popular on Thelanis.

Oh, for sure OP was going out of his way to make this seem like a crisis with his bad cut and paste job. Those LFMs are not a meaningful percentage of all the LFMs even though they do certainly exist.

I'm sorry, the devs are fully committed to working on Sharn, which is why they had to change Amber Temple. I'm afraid Sands just doesn't pose a threat to Sharn.

The reason WizKing is good is because it can be divided, and I don't think the optional experience amounts scale with difficulty, so you get the same amount of optional XP running for the first time on normal as you do on R1. It's just a flat amount. So, combine a very healthy amount of optional XP that can be gathered in 3 simultaneous tracks by people with little coordination and you get a very easy farm for PUGs.

Just because this quest shows up in the LFG window doesn't mean it's the dominant method for leveling in epics. Show a /who screenshot where 80% of all players between 20 and 28 are in Chamber of Raiyum and then you can start getting you undies in a wad.

Now, if that same /who screenshot only shows 8 players online between the levels of 20 and 28, then i don't think the WizKing farm is the issue.

And only a handful of total LFMs. Have you considered that people fill groups other ways so maybe by only considering the LFM panel you are not seeing the whole picture? Even in this scenerio there are only 1-5 people doing that WK so it's not like that is an overwhelming number of your server population. Maybe they can't fill...maybe they're slow..I don't know, but just seeing one LFM speaks more about activity on your server or how people fill groups rather than an issue with one quest.
