Why doesn't SSG want my money?

I noticed that SSG are promoting double bonus DDO Points, so I opened the DDO store to purchase the maximum size for $US199.99.

Unfortunately, every time I click on the Payment via PayPal option, a Security Challenge window pops up and hangs... and hangs... and hangs...

I used to be able to purchase DDO Points without hassle. I only want to use PayPal or a credit card. Does anyone know of a workaround or am I stuck possibly along with others with SSG not wanting us to pay them money for their game?

maybe you can go though amazon I did I had a amazon store card and it worked fine.
maybe you can use the account and then pay though amazon with pay pal?
I had issue with both a cc and PayPal

I have the same issue, same as some of my friends we are from germany so I tought it might be a geographical problem.

I can't use paypal nor amazon and credit cards are not really used in germany.

For points you can try paysave cards they still work.

To get Vip I had to work a bit harder, which means downloading and open it with steam. Then when you open the shop you can pay through steam.

I think it all started a few month ago when they changed something on the shop and it had to be accessed through the browser. They reverted that change but after that paypal and co stoped working for me.

Now it is really hard to spend money on this game and to say its frustrating is an understatment.

Normaly it should be easy to spend money on a game maybe even to easy, that it even happens subconscious. But this game makes it so hard, that I dont really want to support it anymore.

For the OP, it may be a browser issue. In DDO, if you click on Options/UI Settings then scroll to the very bottom and check/uncheck the External Store setting. This will allow you to use the DDO store in a different browser.

I've now tried Amazon as well as clicking and unclicking on the External Store option as suggested by other posters. Neither worked. I'm incredulous that SSG would not test this basic functionality given how important it must be to both them for their income and for the satisfaction of their customers.

They butchered something bad. Nothing registered on file from my CC that was used for vip and purchases. Very bad timing for the weekend.

So from talks with people in my guild those outside of the US are not able to make payments through DDO via credit card or even set up paypal.

That makes sense. One of the posters who like me can't make payments is from Germany and I'm from Australia. I raised a ticket but am not hopeful it will be looked at anytime soon. I just hope SSG notice something is wrong and fix it before the Double Bonus Points limited time sale ends.

I went through the provider help but they said it was a known issue with no eta on fix. Sanctions maybe?

I thought I'd provide a quick update. I clicked on the DDO Store and selected the DDO points option. Immediately, a payment option came up for me to pay by credit card which I selected and it processed successfully. I don't know if that means that the pay by PayPal option is fixed. But if you are outside the US and were having the same problems that I was earlier, I'd suggest going back in and trying again as there might now be a workable solution to you. Thanks to SSG for stealth fixing up my problem.
