Angry cat people have provoked my nerd rage also dwarf appreciation

Im not too pleased about the cat people . we already just got shifter . seems a bit redundant . I got my hopes up for an new type of dwarf . like shield dwarves , perhaps house kundarak dwarves ? golden dwarves or even just mountain dwarves ! I know some might suggest duregar but IMO they are dull
there are even more dwarf subtypes i am leaving out
i know many people dont care for dwarves but I think they are cool and enjoy playing dwarven characters in D&D

Here we go again. What if the dwarves dressed up as cats? Ok jk.

I like the idea of Duregar, would be my dwarf of choice, but mountain dwarves would be cool too. I agree though, would love to see more racial variants to freshen up some of the original races. Drow I’m looking at you.

A gully Dwarf in a cat outfit...

I think there should have been clearer Eberron based sub races from the beginning. A bit too late for that now, but we could have had Valenar elf or halfling of the Talenta plains as more specific options.

Gully Dwarf- there's a thing I'd forgotten and I curse you for reminding me again...

Duerger have always been kind of a gray area, but I wouldn't mined.
Another drow? No- they're just shady branch of elves. (helf, sun, wood, drow)

Mountain Dwarves would be the peak of perfection.

I'm alright with Tabaxii coming out next- new, different, furrier. Just think of shifters and Tabbies as the new Elf with variants.
I won't fur shame someone playing their way in a fantasy game- not worth getting my dander up.

I wouldn't mind a Kalashtar or Githyanki next, though.

thank you for your suggestions , i like them . yeah like why do we not have an iconic halfling? now that Tabaxi are going to be here . what is next ? turtle people? bird people? elephant people? lion people? snake people? ( actaully yaun-ti pure blood might be cool) yeah Gith could be cool . I played a githyanki character once . Kalashtar could be added because its part of the ebberon lore . since the Kalashtar are vessels for ancient souls maybe they have abilities tied to past lives

Excellent! Yeah I guess I would like drow just completely revamped. As far as the “we just got shifter” arguments, I would rather have Tabaxi and turn shifter into something different… any of the aforementioned races would work.

Gully Dwarf… that reference just caused a bunch of neurons in my brain to fire off that have not triggered in 20 years!

I think the tabaxi are a nice addition. I would also like the kenku to join the ddo roster, but after that No other races should be added beyond sub-racial formulas. Too much is too much after all.

Hell, we got the dragonborn, teifling, and assimar races which by the way in old school (TSR)D&D; the elders of yore NEVER inclined the game to include any of those as playable, especially the DROW race.

Personally my biggest disappointment was when the dragonborn was intro'd to ddo. I think a general lizard folk model would have been more sufficient...i do like me some LIZARDFOLK!!

There were a kind of cat people in the original Isle of Dread, and the current version of D&D cat people is Tabaxi. It makes sense in that respect, but... ugh, furries and creepy anime have just poisoned cat people for me.

Wait, aren't halflings really gully dwarfs, just renamed for dragonlance?

Fingers crossed for the next race released to be Vrusk, Dralasite or Yazirian.
FYI, when I summon an earth elemental, it's not a "he," it's a "she." And her name is Pebbles.

I referenced Dralasites in one of the other umpteen anti-cat threads.

Vrusk would be Thri-kreen which would be cool, too. (But a CRAZY amount of art/modeling work.)

Any Yazarian-like race would probably cause a stir cuz someone would invariably drag them down the 'offended' rabbit hole.

Right Kender and Gully Dwarves are separate races in Dragonlance. Kender are a world specific version of Halflings, one that was popular enough to influence modern Halflings away from being Hobbit like. Gully Dwarves are still just smaller, smelly, dumb, sub Dwarves.

Kender, Gully Dwarves, Irda, and Ursoi next. Just do an entire Dragonlance expansion... (I know the rights for that owned by too many different people and it's next impossible to get access to them for video games but one can dream)

Not sure about the kender thing, they seem more like small elves to me.

Kenders go out fearlessly wandering in search of adventure and wear shoes. (no hairy feet)

Halflings stay at home in fear where they are smaller, smelly, dumb, and don't wear shoes. (two hairy feet)

Halfling sound much like the gully dwarfs stated above.

Maybe a halfling can count higher than a gully dwarf. Is this the only difference?

They could have just gave druids a lion or tiger form.
Sometimes I pull one out just to watch it die over and over. That's how much I hate hires.
