Anniversary Event Bug: Steelstar not registering if you kill him too fast

Killing +Steelstar sometimes doesn't grant its star or clear the objective.

I found out by going at it slower that he's supposed to teleport away and then drink coffee before the fight ends.
If that doesn't happen and Steel just happens to die from sudden meteorological changes (sunny with high chances of Cometfalls), the fight ends, but you don't get credited for vanquishing him.

Edit: Steelstar confirmed speed has nothing to do with it, and he just sometimes spawns in a bugged way that makes the objective not complete.

+SteelStar is currently broken (not completing his objective, granting points, or granting a star) in 1/3 of all runs of the Anniversary Party, determined when you enter the dungeon. You can tell if he will be broken based on his appearance, which you can see as soon as you enter the Library - If he has a crossbow and no hood on, that's the indicator that you've encountered the broken version of the fight. We have no indication that he has any errors specifically related to kill speed.

We're working on deploying a fix for this as soon as possible.

If you kill Steelstar too fast, he just falls dead but doesn't register as far as the objectives go.

So it was happenstance. (both times he bugged on me out of 3 run attempts I got a really good crit in)

So wait? Is the broken version the one where you don't get credit for killing +SteelStar or the version where you do get credit??? Considering the source of this information I think it is reasonable to double check.....
