Morninglord FVS?

Easy question.

Does anyone have experience with running the Morninglord Sun Elf as a pure Favored Soul instead just to get access to Amaunator's Brilliance? It gives AoV an AOE light spell, but not sure of its efficacy.

It uses the old version of Sunburst and fairly meh as a result. You can do a 1 cleric / 19 FvS without any issues if you want grab both past lives at once, but I wouldn't waste a +1 heart on it.

I did the pure Morninglord/FvS thing before Cleric domains. It wasn't impressive then and I doubt it would be now. I wound up with a pure Morninglord/Warlock as superior to both FvS and Cleric.

These days I think a pure Morninglord/Cleric would give a pure Morninglord/Warlock a much more even fight because the domains are just very good.

Light spellpower is plentiful in a dedicated Morninglord build and Warlocks make very good use of Light spellpower with Utterdark Blast.
