    Yes, your Rage will prevent spellcasting. During heroic leveling I don't use too much the Rage ability, we don't need it, normally we can erase all easily, during epic leveling and at lvl 30 I cast first all buffs then Rage. I got 12 Rages so I can dismiss Rage every time I need to refresh buffs, at level 30 Rage give us 1k temp HP (with filigrees) and on R6+ I need to refresh rage very often, so I have plenty of time to refresh buffs too.

    Hello,

    Absolutely love this build! (Undead, Raging Barbarian)

    I am not much of a melee person, but i have played a few EK builds.
    I'm looking to get through some barbarian past lives, is there a world where this build can be modified to accomplish this?

    I'm not super savvy into past lives and requirements

    Mmmm I don't know, mate. With less than 12 wizard levels you lose level 6 spells (Tenser is a buff always on in my playstyle) and Death Aura will expire too much soon.

    Default Build UPDATE 2

    Hello all,

    this is my last update for the build. In this life I'm running Warforged for the 3 racial PLs.

    In this video I'm playing the quest "The Hijacked Haul", R5 difficult.

    This is almost the top Reaper difficult I think I can play at this moment with my char: to advance to the next skull for sure I need more Reaper Points (just 65 now), more Epic Reincarnations (just 12 now), more Racial Reincarnations (just 3 now), better equip (I need the augment set from raids).

    Hello! At level 10 I use Ravenloft set and SoS. At level 15 Part of the Family set from Sharn is a must. Normally I swap SoS with Tail of the Scorpion at level 14.

    I'm just curious why you choose a Str based build over an Int based one? For me, being able to have reasonable DCs for Mass-Hold in high Reaper is a must regardless of the rest of the build. Besides, having strong caster abilities to fall back on is invaluable for when your melee skills fall short.

    Note: I get that (some) Str based builds are easier to gear up for.

    Now, considering that you're already 8 points invested into Harper (as per build 4), it would make sense to take Int-to-Dmg and drop the Falcony tree for more goodies from PM. Sure, you'd lose some defensive abilities and a few speed boosts, but that would more than be made up for by the Palemasters HP, PR, and Negative healing Amp. (Deathly Tough & Resistance, Ghost in the Wind, Eternal Furor)

    Hello Smoke!

    I tried many times to balance melee DPS with DCs and the result has always been disappointing.
    So I choosed a STR based build to maximize (at least that's my idea) my melee DPS (I can reach stable 110 STR). Imbue dices were a good update for the EK in my tests, so I focused to the single weapon fighting to join the melee damage to the imbue dices damage. The theory is "kill before you are killed" lol
    Btw my studies are not finished, i am open to try other than improve the EK (melee) build

    Consider that Falcony gives you 6 PRR, positive healing-amp and two points to a stat of your choosing. Only real benefit here is that the PRR is low hanging fruit, being in the 1st tier. Where PM gives 15-20 PRR, 15 to MRR, as well as signifigant boosts to stats, DC's and spell penitration. Sure these abilities come later in the tree (T3-T4), but when fully realized, Palemaster really shines.

    I've played both a Melee EK (Bastard and 2-Hander) and a Bow-Wizard with great success. Both were geared for Intelligence based DC casting, to-hit / dmg but could still perform physical damage quite well. Last time I played the Bow-Wiz, my max raid crit (Manyshot) was just over 70k, while pushing DC'S over 110. (Pure Wiz, without Rogue splash)

    Side note: Beasthide Shifter can cast spells in Epics with the Draconic Epic Destiny's. Should boost your hit points nicely.

    Vistani Knife Fighter isn't really worth putting AP into. Far as I can tell, you're just getting Haste-Boost from it, which for the 8 AP required is kind of a waste.

    Falconry gives me:
    +1 Strenght
    +15 Healing Amplification
    +3 PRR
    +3 Melee Power
    Sprint Boost
    +5% Quality bonus to HP

    It's not a waste My build is a full melee DPS build with no DC spells, I use light armor for max dodge, so my MRR is capped to 100

    Short duration boosts are just fluff. Sure, they're nice to have, but making a build around something like that creates a dependency that will likely not be there when most needed. (Many melee builds suffer from this)

    Regardless, to make a "STR" build from a Wizard robs you of the classes greatest Trick...

    Its adaptability.

    Even the Tanking EK's that focus on Constitution, add gear later on to have reliable DC's. Cause ya never know when Mass-Hold will be needed. Besides, past about R8 trash mobs have far to many Hitpoints, resists, and DR to quickly dispatched with a melee. It's why a signifignt portion of Reaper is run using casters. Don't get me wrong, I've run with several very skilled melees, but at R10, even the most super-duper geared Barby is going to be asking for crowd-control.

    You are right, smoke, but this build is a melee DPS build. I kwow that on R10 the CC is the only right way, but... for CASTER builds. THe goal of my build is the melee DPS with a little CC from trip (from adrenaline), fogs and otto irresistible

    Your build does wonderful for its intended purpose. However, you're on the absolute limit of what's possible given the racal constraints. One thing I'm curious about is "what if" you made a Shifter Druid or Cleric melee build, being that the rage-bonus is Con / Wis.

    Side note: At some point, I'll redo my intel-based Wiz-Melee and post the build with a few screenshots. Till then, look me up on Argo after Tuesday this week, and we can chat. (GMT +1)

    It looks perfect to me! If you make your build int based, we can compare the final stat and see how the two chars can run on high Rs
