I'd like to do some druid lives to pump up my hirelings. How fun/easy/tedious is it to go 1-20 as a druid caster, compared to a wizard, sorcerer, arty, alchemist, fvs or cleric?
Also, how does it go in epics? Can druid casters hang in R4 after level 20?
Or, if I want druid lives, am I pretty much gimped unless I play a melee?

Druid caster is in a solid spot currently.
I find they take a bit longer than arcanes to get going in heroics as their AOEs are added to the spellbook slower.
So for the first number of levels it kinda plays like a sniper, hit the first mob with burning hands, second with lightning bolt...
In epics I think they're fantastic. They've got solid heals, great spell damage scaling (thanks in part to the new pass), Tsunami and Ice Flowers are very good.
