Default Which Epic Destiny tree is best for an assassin?

For the past few years, I was focusing on my barbarian and druid. Recently I have been playing my rogue a lot, which I abandoned mid TR a couple years ago. I got him to level 20 and I have been looking at destinies for a few hours trying to find something nice for an assassin. I just feel like Shadowdancer is really garbage and it doesn't seem interesting at all. The tier 5 abilities are strange to say the least. I don't care about spell DCs, I don't care about abilities that require me to get aggro from mobs. The epic strike looks very lackluster and underwhelming. Meld Into Darkness now seems also very underwhelming. In the end I realized that Shadowdancer is simply NOT a good choice for an assassin rogue. Maybe it's alright for just like 6 points to get assassinate dcs and ddoor, but that's it. Or maybe there is just something I don't see. It lacks both strong defensive and offensive abilities and it doesn't motivate me whatsoever to continue playing my rogue right now. I have nothing to look forward to and zero excitement about any of the trees. I feel like the devs really messed up the assassins and I am very disappointed.

So I ask you guys, what epic destinies do you use for your rogue assassin?
My rogue is a dex-based halfing focusing on the assassin and vistani trees and using daggers.

    Thanks

Default I only have 55 Destiny Points so...

I suggest 43 DP in Shadowdancer, 11 DP in Fatesinger, and 1 DP in Unyielding Sentinel.

Shadowdancer is a must for the +6 DC to your Assassinate ability.

Even though Meld was nerfed, it's still pretty good.

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

I think shadowdancer is the best main tree. It provides a nice boost to dps.

For secondary tree it really depends on what you are trying to accomplish. If you want to solo and/or need self-healing you can go for unyielding sentinel to get renewal and primal avatar for rejuvenation cocoon. This gives you some hp and self-healing.

I really like T5 Shadowdancer and T4 Legendary Dreadnought as my main setup.

Shadowdancer Bring Darkness is made for TWF. If you're raiding, having one person with it is a huge damage boost for everyone in the raid.

For reaper XP, I prefer T5 Divine Crusader. 20 Law dice that scale with 200% melee power, +6 crit dmg and +1W is sexy. Cower Before Me is super useful crowd control.

I use that too, but wondering if it's redundant with assassins trick (wich lasts 3secs longer) and shattered device. If using first blood feat could be more useful, but idk. Not sure its a must.

Bring Darkness and Shattered Device 4pc stack, so use both.

Not sure what you mean about Assassin's Trick.

    Ying has spoken

before the revamp, I would run Fury until cap then change to SD. I just loved adrenaline hits—insta knockdown and helplessness. Since my style was taking down isolated targets, it worked for me. I also worked on reapers. I have not gotten my main to epics yet due to mikkado’s challenge and HC, so maybe I can say more in a while. Tilomere has me interested in an improved evasive roll approach in Sentinel (see his flowers thread). With the new system I only need tier 4 fury.
