Endgame Gearing for Shiradi Wizard

Hello everyone!

I have recently transferred over my hardcore Shiradi Wizard (2 rogue / 16 wizard / 2 fvs) and am climbing epics. I intend to get to level 30 and stay there as a farming toon for my main, and so I am beginning to look at different gearing sets. My primary question is this: how do I go about gearing in the endgame // determining filigrees? I have never geared at cap before, and I only just got my first sentient weapon a week or so ago. Is there any objective best gearsets for my build? There just seems like so many options between ravenloft, saltmarsh, feywild, and older epic content.

A good framework for any wizard is:

- Legendary Magewright Set
- Elder's Focus Set with L Gem of Many Facets w/ spell focus mastery crafted on it.
- Clouded Dreams
- Legendary Shattered Onyx
- Gloryborne Gloves
- a 2nd autumn piece or 3 piece augment set for artifact spellpower
- Red dragonscale armor or docent

Filigree will depend alot on whether you are trying to just max out dps or also support solid DCs. You may end up with multiple weapons having different filigree for different purposes.

If your alts do not have clouded dreams ring a lantern ring is also an option more light damage scaled or if you want more dps on a red n don't need dcs can quik swap

We're almost ready for a full on dps casting filigree setup too when u don't care about dcs can have 2 clubs trash n reds

5 ds + 3 coal + 4 frozen wanderer if ice, or ?? really hoping the dread xpac finally gives us 1 or 2 good filigree sets for dps casting and 1 good club with an orange slot

I am a big fan of the lunar magic set which gives a boost to DC and DPS. It fits in the with overall generalist caster theme of U51.

Nice i'll have to relook at that too but really hoping that dread obsoletes almost everything when it hits being able to finally dump beholders ottos n stat fils so nice

Elemental avatar can get 6 to crits or maybe serpent for a poison alchemist probably what i'd go with

You know how that goes first real xpac post u50 nerfs nerf the power to sell us more power and whether or not there going to nerf magma procs

That and 3 or 5 more destiny points and we can really open up some build options

Really hope they fix the missing destiny points issue even if i have to lesser tr to fix it fine

Only real problem now is they could have put reliable immunity stripping into the tier 5s of drac, magus and of course did not

so you have 2 choices 12 alch or 20 sorc kind of boring
