Default Fabricator's set vs Cannith Crafting

I'm back after a long break and just found some Fabricator's Gauntlets in one of my storage toon's inventory. I was thinking of farming the Fabricator's Bracers and finishing them for a lvl 18 Barbarian when I realized that this level 18 EQ only gives a STR bonus of +6.

The problem is, I'm already wearing gloves I crafted (Cannith Crafting system) that have +8 STR (plus some other stuff) and the EQ level is only 15.

Are these sets (https://ddowiki.com/page/Named_item_...rtificers_sets) in serious need of upgrades? The Slaver's and TOEE EQ sets are still very, very good at level and honestly, I've worn those sets into my mid-teen's with no issues.

A lot of named gear from the past is only good for feeding sentient items
While they tried to set a standard for epic legendary items they kept a good deal of older items
    Subpar to even random loot.

Look at the gear from Sharn and Cogs and they will take you to 29.

Or get enough past lives and screw gear all together and play a naked monk build...

"FREE AT LAST! FREE AT LAST!"

    LOL

Might be a bit stat deficient but totally achievable ,need to work in things like naked fortification
2 paladin 5 Cleric 13 monk... and you can be Buddah himself lol
Of course you would most likely have to play a forged blade or war either or
