This has been a problem for quite some time.

It is ridiculous that levels 31 & 32 have more quests than levels 21 through 30 combined.

It will be good for the level increase but yeah we aren't there yet so it would be better to fill in the levels

I hope they fill in levels that are lacking

Let's get epic Sorrowdusk epic Tangleroot

And while we are at it let's get Reaper Tangleroot there is no reason for no Reaper Tangleroot

Nothing is stopping anyone from running Shadow crypt at 12 but it's a level 9 quest.

I look at quests as they are presented in the journal not character level when completing the quests. Full disclosure on capping out at character level 11. I am completing von3/4 white plume. Then dropping a 30 or 50 pot when I hit SC. Limits my run and don't like farming but don't want to make up xp when I complete sharn.

I also completely forgot about Sorrowdusk. I like this quest chain for the most part. The xp per quest is meh but I don't look it at like that. I look at like this, 2 quests one dungeon it's ok. Could be better. Sorrowdusk needs a catacombs style revamp and a teleporter to the upper. Loot revamp wouldn't hurt but it would be competing with some other gear. It would give options but I won't count on it.

Over all it would be nice to see fresher quest's whether a quest pack or expansion in the quest level ranges of 9-12.

Tangleroot revamp like it. This is another quest chain that need a catacombs style revamp.

Tangleroot, Sorrowdusk and Threnal all need a refresh. Though this would seem to be more of a passion project than fiscal one.....

I love Tangleroot and I think more quests could benifit from its design .

2 maps with multiple quests vs most other packs are 1 map to 1 quest

Sorrowdusk has similar multiple quests to a map these types of quests are my favorite I like revisiting a place to continue the story I feel like it gives much more depth

    Catacombs was an improvement indeed

    Really?

I can honestly say that I run pretty much every single 30+ quest in game at least 1 per life. How many level 20-29 quests do you not run?

CO6 was one of my favourite quest arcs years ago. It was TOEE before ddo had a TOEE

Like Sorrowdusk or Threnal it's really annoying to run across all the houses doing different quests at one level

It would be much more helpful for new players to put quests of similar levels in one area

Some quests at levels that have a high number of quests could be adjusted to levels that are lacking
It is time for them to smooth out the chain levels. It used to be a good thing that quests in a chain were at a higher base level as you would receive 10% per level of quest xp bonus over your level. This was back when quests were not the elite for everyone quests but normal was... the norm. Now the system caters to different bonuses and everyone likes to work within the 2 levels because they are conditioned into not running below level.

Indeed, quest chains differing in level is a relic from lvl 10 cap times, base level of quests was less important. You mostly leveled on "normal" and got "underleveled" bonus, so higher base level of later quest in chain was a bonus.

Also only 1 person in the group needed to be high enough in level to open the quest and everybody else could enter. We sometimes did the whole Greymoon & CO6 chain with a lvl 6ish party, for example (lvl 10 quests required one person to be 6+ or maybe it was 7+)

In modern DDO with bravery it would make more sense to make all quest chains the same level, like it is already for some chains and in epics.

Really. I can't tell if you agree or not. The point I was making is that there should be MORE options between 21-30 and that it is ridiculous that there aren't. One can always stay at cap (which is 30 ATM) and run/re-run the 31+ quests before eTRing.

Return to Sorrowdusk and Return to Tangleroot should be epic. Though not just bloating the MOBs hit points and having the same quests. Use the maps and give us something fresh. Maybe link the Bugbear hideout on the other side of the map to the main chain somehow.

Smoothing out the chain levels would fit perfectly with increasing the number of quests between 21-30.

However there is significantly decreased reaper xp from reruns which is why many people who run it make an effort to clear out all quests before a TR reset.

Just as one can always rerun the quests one can also join any group on elite and not suffer xp penalties. The same cannot be said for reaper quests.

I completely agree that it would be nice to have filler quests in epics however there is nothing to stop parties from under leveling a quest on elite but there are issues with over leveling on reaper.

This would be about the only thing I would want to see added below 30. Epic Tangleroot and Sorrowdusk.

25-29 is a wasteland and needs content. I usually do slayers.

Just for kicks, I'd still love to see more than 1 lvl20 quest.

AHHH, "To Reap or Not to Reap - That is the question"...

However, that is part of the problem, and I understand it will NEVER go away. The introduction of Reaper was not a bad thing; However, it was supposed to add challenge to the game. SSG never should have introduced Reaper trees, and running Reaper quests should give the same XP as Elite. Power creep has made Reaper not a challenge anymore and majority of people treat it as the norm.

That is not this topic though. This topic is the lack of content among certain levels as you level up (in heroic and epic); not for the purpose of maximizing reaper XP, and not to run "dailies," but to run different quests. Many people, myself included, run slayers though certain levels.

I propose a solution. A drop down level menu for every quest in the game. Like they did for the anniversary quests. 1 thru 35. Play it at any level difficulty you want.
You get named item drops only playing at the appropriate levels. XP on the other hand, increases as you do higher levels.
Sometimes I pull one out just to watch it die over and over. That's how much I hate hires.

    Not a bad idea

I always liked the idea of a quest hub with doors for each level and every level quest inside

I had hopes for the hall of heores but they they abandoned that and moved the quests to the grove

It would really help to concintrate all plays3rs at a certain level in one instance it woupd make grouping and finding quests so much easer for new players who can be lost running from house to house to house

Thought it was only fair to give this an answer but would also like to explain why.

Carnival, Red fens, WPM extra quests because they are all competing with quests that give much better xp per min at that level range, TOEE pt 2 as I hate the quest lol, and mines of tethyamar as I always forget they are there (and also bad xp per min when I do remember).

Apart from those I generally hit every other epic quest every life. Now the thing to note here is the vast bulk of those skipped quests are pre level 25. At that level range the content is pretty well covered so it doesn't matter if you skip some. From level 25 though its a different story and I always end up having to rerun quests/sagas, run explorers (which I find incredibly boring) or start legendary quests early to reach cap.

I'd like Isle of Dread to be lv 18-19, way too many quests at that level are ****. My group generally just runs sharn again with some sane asylum and...lords of dust I guess lol. Cannith monsters are too beefy for their level, and most other high lv heroics are super **** xp.

As far as epics, I'd like low-mid epics, but my guess is isle of dread will have higher level stuff, like base 32?
