[REQ] Road to 5k - list of skippable quests

After a week of a long run non-stop now i find myself stuck try to understand if i can skip a quest or not.

So i thought to take a look in the forum to see if someone have a list of possible skippable quests.. and i found none.

i am here to request a list to someone who reached 5000 favor already to see what quest i can skip and what quest i cannot avoid
to easily reach the aim of 5k.

this is my list of skippable quests so far:


devil assault

temple of elemental evil p1 & 2

against the slave lords 1,2,3

bring me the head of gola fan

invaders (?)

Zawabi revenge

Creeping death

Acute delirium

To curse the sky

Best laid plains (?)

the weapon shipment

litany of the dead


all the raids except :chronoscope, tempest spine.

i know that someone usually join raid vault of the night but then they skip 'plane of night'

why they skip it ? what is the danger in that final part of the raid ?

I haven't personally skipped VON 6 (I'm not doing hardcore), but I'd assume because...

- A short lapse in attention means you fall off the walkway to your death
- Two bases are significantly easier if you have evasion. I never go to the ice one, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a mook there that can cast frost lance, which does a lot of spike damage
- Bringing down bases in a less-than-coordinated group is an exercise in frustration. Why bother for just a few favor?
- Once the bases are down, Velah's long-range fireballs hit non-evasive first-life players pretty hard
- If you're melee or standing too close, Velah's breath attack can one- or two-shot you
- I've never actually turned around at the quest entrance island, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's no exit you can click. Coupled with Velah's fireballs, the emergency ddoor escape isn't viable

The Djinns were going into the immortal air spin knocking players off the islands
getting thrown off the island typically meant death as you are tossed with uncontrollable momentum towards the outer edges are killed upon transition out of the raid towards the marketplace.

Dev's are aware of the issue and it was on a fix list.

until its fixed.. its fked.. run at your own risk.

Here's a writeup I did a few HC ago, what I skipped and why. Now there's a lot more quests, at least fey and perils of planar eye, and the last new one. So there's a lot more favor to be had, and a lot more beholders to skip.

I'm only about halfway there on this hcl, lv 15 and ~2500 favor, but I'm doing the same thing pretty much. There's also all the eveningstar epics. So if I'm closing in on 5k but can't find any good groups, I'd take 20 and just run ES on normal/hard.

Quests I have skipped so far

- Stealthy Repossession - No groups came up, and not interested in soloing on Elite at that level with so many Kobolds running around
- Temple of Elemental Evil (1&2) - Heard too many stories of how hard things hit in there
- Titan raid - sounds like it has some insta-death opportunities if you screw up
- Ghola Fan - has the trap gauntlet, would do if a Rogue with Imp Evasion joined. Rarely see groups.
- Slavers of the Shrieking Mines - I would do with a group, but solo Mind Flayers give me pause
- Von 5/6 - I would do 5 but not 6 due to chance of death if you do something wrong - don't want to be rude and drop after 5

Only quests below 15 I skipped were ToEE part 2 and Titan Awakes (part 2 of Twilight Forge raid). There are a few over 15 I'm skipping, but at character level 19 quests level 15-19 are open to you.

Saw some people die along the way. Twilight Forge, the first part, isn't hard if you know what you're doing. Ghola Fan, if you don't know the trap hall, is dangerous. Invaders was scary, but only lost 1 charge off my beholder crystal.

I would add Promise of Fire to the skip list.

you can add quests as needed as group doesnt have - ie stealthy repo is annoying to do with out right mindset/group.

ghola fan if you dont have evasion is a skip for me.


i would skip blockade buster and prob siege breaker
