    Question Rogue and Arcane Prodigy

I am on my 3rd Life and decided to go Halfing Rogue. I have a Past Life Sorcerer and Past Life Bard. I am pondering taking Arcane Prodigy as a Feat. What are your thoughts? is it worth it?

i think you'll be better off takin things like precision, improved critical, and the combat feats according to your class, ranged stuff for mech, 2wf for assassin, thf for acrobat.
    storage solution suggestion: Collection

omni-cosmetic system suggestion: Arbiter d'Phiarlan, the Weaver of Guises

    Feat Past Life Sorcerer
    Past Life: Arcane Prodigy
    Cooldown: 4 seconds
    Usage: Active
    Prerequisite: Past Life: Sorcerer
    Description
You recall more about your past life as a sorcerer. Your maximum spell points are increased by 10 at first level, and 5 spell points for each additional level and can produce random elemental damage spells ten times per rest.

Arcane Prodigy: Activate this sorcerer ability to blast a target with a ray of combined elements, doing 1d12 damage of a random elemental type plus an additional 1d12 per three caster levels on impact. A successful Reflex save reduce the damage by half (Charisma based DDO Forums).

Observed effect: Travels slowly, targets can sidestep it. Medium range. Accepts metamagic feats (Maximize, Empower, Quicken, and Enlarge).

    Save: Reflex, half
    Notes
It does not work in a beholder's Anti-magic cone.

    Ok so Halfling /Rogue
no mention of any caster levels.
so its a waste of a feat spot to take arcane feat without being a caster.
even if you have some elemental boost in your equipment for stacking damage will never be above 1d12 + spell power without any caster levels.

SLAs go by character level but this is an original past life feat that specifically states its a Sorcerer spell and not a SLA so yeah it seems to be based off caster levels so as a rogue it wouldn't be suitable.
Personally I think it should be changed to a SLA...I mean you are taking up a feat slot for it.
