    Default Adam ruins everything Warlock build

    Hey all! This is a build I have been playing lately and having a ton of fun with. I will admit I am not sure how friendly this is to low past life characters, as my guy has quite a few, but hopefully some of you find it helpful. This is also the first build I have posted up here, so try not to be too harsh on the critiques.


    Classes: 20 Warlock, 10 Epic
    Race: Doesn't matter
    Alignment: Neutral

    To start, this build doesn't require any racial past lives. While they are nice and add some small benefits, I have played this on drow, gnome, and half elf. None of them really mattered. I think if you have plenty of racial past lives, Black Dragonborn would be the optimal race to add a bit more power.

    Obviously this is a 36 point build, and the stats above are using a Gnome as the base. 18 Charisma, and a decent con are what I shoot for. On drow it was obviously lower con, but higher charisma. It doesn't really matter though.


    Skills
    Max spellcraft, and get a decent jump. I would also recommend getting as much heal as you can as well. This will help in the epics when you get cocoon, and the poison damage. I also generally max intimidate, and bluff.

    I obviously take completionist at level 3, but it is not required. You can pick up one of your other feats earlier, and maybe pick up toughness for some extra health.

    Enhancements


    Feel free to pick up different abilities in Soul Eater as you want, but the key here is to get the T5 soul eater for the crit %, as well as the level 18 core for the crit %. I actually like the steal life force ability as I generally solo, and even in R4s at 30 it is giving me a couple hundred healing most of the time. Not the most powerful healing, but works well enough for me.

    Tainted Scholar is for all the crit damage. We want all the cores there. Also some nice spells there.

    Feydark Illusionist is just due to having 1 free Universal Action Point, so getting 5 force, and 5 universal spell power is great. Do whatever you want with racial action points you have.



    Epic Destiny


    The 12 points in Primal Avatar are absolutely key. The strike from there is great aoe damage. The secondary spell you get will give you a ton of survivability with the upgrades (25% of your hps as temps) as well as do pretty darn good damage. These points are a must.

    You need at least 32 points in Draconic. Ruin Intensified in the T5 is essential to this build. Obviously you don't get it until 30, but it feels so good then. With the amount of crit, and crit damage you can get on this build you will be deleting reapers and champs instantly. It is a ton of fun combined with a good aoe damage playstyle.

    Shadowdancer is a nice to have. If you don't have enough points for the other stuff you can drop this out. I mostly get some force/universal spellpower here. Obviously evasion is nice to have as well. Finally Shadowdancer let's me switch dimension door out for enervation. Just a fun option to have at times for stacking dots/debuffs.


    My gear is far from done, but if folks are interested I can post my gear set. I really do think you want a Legendary Green Steel piece for this build to get some more crit damage. I run the Legendary Feywild Dreamer set, the Legendary Elder's Knowledge, and 2 pieces of the Legendary Autumn set.

    For filigrees I run 5 pieces of the Otto's Irrevocable Power set, and 6 pieces of Elemental Avatar set.



    Final note:
    I highly recommend the Energy Criticals epic arcane past lives. Critical chance is hard to come by, so try to grab that for this build at least.

    If you want survivability you should take exalted angel imo, Holy Presence gives way too much passive healing while scaling very well with fire and alignement spellpower, and all tough the epic strike sucks (which i recomend you use the draconic incarnation one for burst) holy fireball its OP AF, you get free intensify on ALL of your spell including tentacles plus some heal amp and +3 DC both for conj and evo schools with and extra +3 in one of then

    I'd recommend doing this for blasting and surviving, this way you dont have to press a button to get healed, you got 2 huge burst spells, a ton of extra CDs + some in your worst save. ignore the 1/3 point into the exalted angel t1, thats suposed to be the hammer, but the builder doenst let me pick the hammer (pick the hammer) im assuming fire/acid pack btw. With fiend your exalted angel stuff hits harder, with acid you dont suck as much against fire imune (i would go fiend)

    Id rather have 1d6+10[11-16] per level on a 15s with Breath than (1d4+1)x2 per 2 char level on a 6s that i can stack 3 times (Which is 3d4+3[6-15]) per char level when max stacks). specialy cuz i woulnt have to have poison spellpower with the dragonbreath, and press the button 3 times. And mainly, have my heal tied to me defensive. ( and thats not even considering going double dmg on breath btw which i recommend instead of 4 CD if you dont run top tier endgame)

    Posted image has 70 points spent cuz, you can go deep draconic for double dmg breath, or go primal for +4 CD (3 from base +1 from 2 charisma). just stop at draconic 11 if you wanna go primal for CDs. If you have low points like i do, Holy fireball > Double dmg on dragon breath, 2d6+20 > 2d3+18, getting holyfireball allows you to go further into exalted angel for CDs+heal amp, and you still have a 1d6+10 breath, cuz holy fireball its a SLA and not an epic strike, they're close in dmg, but double dmg on breath locks you out of the SLA, the oposite inst true, you still get 1x dmg breath and holyfireball; And yes, you'll need to drop primal avatar to 6 instead of 11 (which's worth it cuz you get more CDs from exalted angel).

    Thanks for posting your build glass. Looks good. Its too bad they dont have sonic for a spell power in there. One of these days I will play with acid or fire again.

    Looks good. You should check out the acid ring from Leg Master artificer.

    Yeah I have been considering it. I just need to try to fit it in. Right now I use that ring slot for my 2nd autumn piece so would have to give that up.
