Lag?

You would think after 15+ years lag would be under control. I recently returned to the game, after about 5 years. iv been having fun, except for these lag spikes. I just spent an hour in a dungeon, just to lag out and freeze when I enter the boss room, only to unfreeze a few seconds later dead, hireling too. No choice but release. An hour of my life ill never get back. That's crazy discouraging, I usually log out for the day after that, rather than take the re-entry penalty or start over. I'm happy DDO is still alive, but please fix the lag (and also the music and sound cutting out randomly?) otherwise its just a waste of time. I'm a GB connection and a rig that runs most modern games on high-ultra settings, this isn't on my end.

Use Dev Tracker to see how many Dev posts acknowledge there's lag and that they're "always working on it."

Some *kinds* of lag have been improved, but there is, indeed, still a LOT of lag in the game.

It is frustrating that the really bad lag is still out there and it seems like it's either being addressed in a slow, very piece-meal fashion, or not at all.

It seemed to have improved over the last year or two, but the last few months it has gotten worse again.
