Druid Pet hotbar skills

so I gave my druids dog Feeding and Trip, but when I go to the dogs char sheet it won't let me drag them into the slots that make them appear on the dogs hotbar so I can use them, is this bugged or is there a trick to it?? Adding trip to Arificer dogs hotbar works but does not work for Druids dog.

As far as i know the pet will use them when they want too.

Feeding is automatic. The wolf sometimes eats dead enmities and restores health. I thought you could select trip. You can with the arti dog. You might have to do this at the Druid trainer?

For a while, the active skills were being reported as quite buggy, to the point of "don't bother with them". Not sure if that's the case currently.
