New slotted items and unslotters

Anyone yet tried removing augments from pre-slotted named items dropped since the update?

Are unslotters going to be a way to clean things for sentient food or harvest augments like vitality from a minos? Or are new named items considered new-style slots and thus incompatible?

I've tried using Jewel Kits before and after the update. They are not seeming to work. The instructions say to drag them over and augment but I don't know of anyway to do that? Double clicking the tool acts likes its going to do something...but...nothing happens

After the 48.1 I pulled a drowned torch. I used the Legacy Unslotter to pull both augments out of it.

Note: Legacy Unslotter works the same way as the Jeweler's kits before the augment update

1. Double Click the Legacy Unslotter to bring up its UI
2. Drag a legacy augmented item to the UI
3. Pick the augment slot to remove augment from

the legacy unslotter only works for the Item slot 1 time. they will not work to remove an augment from an updated item slot.
you will need a jewelers tool kit .

you can remove all your augments from all your equipment with them for free 1 time.

Keep in mind also.

removing the augment hides the item slot until you remove the item to bank reset the item in inventory and relog your character.

unless they fixed that too.

In an ideal world, the devs at SSG would have done this before today's update and be responding to your question. But we have DIY QA.

I pulled 2 (throw-away) augments from named items yesterday - they stacked just fine w/ an old example of one I had found in a chest.

Not sure about a Legacy Unslotter. I have 32 Jewelers Tool Kits from about 3-4 years ago and they look and have the same instructions as the 5 free ones I got from DDO Store today. Double Clicking on any of them does nothing.

old slot--->you need legacy augment unslotter. you buy it at general vendor, like, in market, for a couple of gold. don't fall for scams at the auction. you double click it, an interface opens, you drag and drop the item into it. log off and log in and the old slot will reapper updated (the jeweller toolkits used to work like this before update)

new slot---> you need jeweler's toolkit, store item, it works different than before. if you click it it does nothing. now you drag and drop the item into the augment icon in the right bottom corner in inventory (there are 2, augment and sentient, and they work the same way). an interface opens. to slot, you drag and drop the augment from inventory into the interface.to unslot, you drag and drop jeweller toolkit.

This is the exact problem I'm having, except I cannot get the item to recognize that it 1) has a slot and 2) the slot has an augment in it. I've double clicked on the Jewelers tool kit, I've dragged the item to the augment on the inventory UI, I've opened the Augment item window and tried to drag the item into the new window. I simply cannot get the system to recognize that there is a slot that is filled and I'd like to remove the item.

The item is unlocked? Try dragging it into bank/shared bank, relog, then drag out again? idk

I think I have an answer, but not a solution. Here are the type of items I can't unslot. Notice that the augments that have been slotted appear in the "enchantment" area of the item.

The slots that were filled before the augment overhaul need to be unslotted using the legacy augment unslotter.

Only slots that were filled after the overhaul can be unslotted with a Jeweler's toolkit.
