Why Can't PM Wizards Equip The Skeleton?

So why can't spooky Wizards put gear on the skeleman?

Seriously? Because when I ran my Druid. My doggo was mauling everything!
That makes me think I should not have given up on a PM Wizard so easily! I just could not figure out a good build.

Are you asking for an in-game rationale, or a meta-game balance explanation?

For the latter, I'd hazard because it's already the toughest of the three (or can easily be w/ a few AP).

If your imagination isn't up to the former, that's on you.

This must be why the skellie doesn't get the Magus Cloak and Epic Summons bonuses. Do I call this a bias or a bug?
