    Default Guildie's Account Hacked

    I have a guildie who's account was hacked 4 months ago. He has put in multiple tickets with no communication or response from Standing Stone Games. He is a VIP and would really like to have his account back. Any chance one of the devs here can help him? It really seems a shame that a paying customer is getting no help or answers. The ticket number is 174654.

    If he still has his email (i.e. it hasn't also been hacked) he can request his account password be reset through his email by clicking on forgot password.

    Unfortunately many people use the same password for both their email and their other online accounts making this option less viable.

    They should use the text msg thing to help people get passed that. my bank, insurance and several other companies i deal with do that to make sure im the right guy paying this bill!! :P

    Yeah, two-factor authentication is big these days.

    SSG should probably implement it when account changes are attempting to be made.

    2FA is not always better though. It also opens up other ways of account vulnerabilities if your email/password ever gets leaked or if they manage to dupe your phones simcard/steal your phone.

    If he hasn't gotten his account back at this point, SSG has found him guilty of "sharing his account" which is against the ToS. There is no ability for any player to present any evidence in these cases. Unless you are a former player's council member or someone else in good standing with SSG, you will be stripped of your account. Your guildy has no recourse other than to attempt to recoup some of the money he spent ingame with clawbacks through his credit card or bank. Sorry to hear of his loss.

    There has been no response that SSG has even looked into the issue or have responded to the ticket. So I doubt that is what has happened.
