Default The suggestions keep rolling--- Epic Racial Destinies

That's right: one new ED per race, from Aasimar Divine/Infernal to Halfling Outrunner... so many racial destinies. So many paths to unlock.

Devils in the details, this could be great or it could suck. But not a bad concept.

Yeah, a halfling outrunner would get a dog mount they can perform combat actions on. The dog itself can attack. They might get a stealth tree or assassinate bonuses.

But I think the dog mount and the mounted combat ON the dog would SELL this idea BIG TIME.

Dark Elves would get more spell powers and enchantment abilities--they might even be able to transform into driders (again, the mounted combat idea above from the halfling) and fight in some kinda mounted style.

I dislike the way racial AP unlock, it's a HUGE grind.

And if you don't have any rAP or very few you can't really use the trees much. With few exceptions, the class and universal trees are stronger so you won't have many points left over, if any.
Of course if they made racial trees as strong as clas /universal, that would make people with many rAP even more OP.

So for your suggestion....I'm not a fan of epic racial destinies if they require an racial grind to unlock points.

Additional Epic Destinies keyed to races - sure, why not.
Additional advancement path called "Racial Epic Destiny" - No thank you.

Sounds a little like you're trying to bring back the idea of Racial enhancement trees (a la Elven Arcane Archer)
There was once a list of these, iirc.
    Dwarven Defender
    Drow Tempest
    Halfling Outrider
    Elven Arcane Archer
    Warforged (Scout? Juggernaut?)

    Warforged would be Soulforged.

The way I see it, I'd want to give the REDs (Racial Epic Destinies) some kind of mount and mounted attacks. Why mounts? It just seems interesting to me. There would be two versions of each mount--a fast outdoor mount and a much slower mount that could be used either indoors or outdoors. The faster mount would give you some evasive ability but you couldn't fight while riding it, and the slower mount would protect you somewhat from attacks and be MUCH harder for you to be dismounted from (if not impossible.) You'd get to choose the color of your mounts when you select the ability.

Halfling Outrider -- Riding Dog -- War Dog
Drow Tempest -- Light Drider -- Dread Drider (less a mount than a transformation)
Elven Arcane Swordsman/Arcane Archer -- Mithril Stallion -- Adamantine Warhorse
Warforged Soulforged -- Iron Defender -- Adamantine Defender
Dwarven Defender -- Fast Pony -- WAR PONY!!!
Human Champion -- Quarterhorse -- Warhorse

    .

and so on--will add the rest when I'm not at work.

It's not a bad idea, I just don't find it compelling personally. I also don't see it fixing any of the problems DDO has, or filling a niche that's currently missing from the game.

Sounds good, fun to consider. Not where I'd spend limited coding/art/dev time.
