Default Unable to spend points with new ED system?

So I checked the patch notes and decided to login and check them out.

CTRL+E, lo and behold, there are the ED trees laid out a lot more like heroic enhancements. No problem. 0/30 points spent. Every tree is locked. Now this character isn't at max level, as I E-TR'd a while ago, and I'm a slow grinder. Level 27.

Logged out, logged back in, just in case, no good. Can't spend any points.

I tried the old search function and didn't find anything, so I come to general hat in hand.

You'll need to talk to the Epic Trainer first. He'll send you to an area with some portals. Go in to all of those, talk to every NPC there. That unlocks the redone destinies for use.
DDO: If a problem cannot be solved by the application of DPS, you're not applying enough.

Yeah it’s convoluted for absolutely no reason .

Fate points are listed that don’t really do anything (except calculate other things) .Total points are never listed until you’re cap. The rank you’re in doesn’t really tell you what rank out of how many. You have to talk to the trainers and that weirdly gives you points on it’s own.

Etc etc it’s very weirdly done for being “simpler”

It is a very strange way of doing it, for sure. I've also had guildies unaware of how to access these new destinies. It really is pointlessly convoluted.

Sounds like with 0 or more destinies unlocked, there should be a prompt on the ED panel that tells you to go talk to the Epic trainer; clicking a button might even give you an objective and arrow to go find her in the Marketplace.
That's not lag, it's just DDO trying to become turn-based again.
Feature wishlist: colour-coded HP bars; red/blue teams in raids; rez-timer in party menu
