    Default I Don't get it

OK forgive me but I dont get it. What's with XP is it useless now?
I used to grind away get little bits on my epic bar light up a circle and click a skill. Simple.
Now XP doesn't make my bar move and I can't see a way of grabbing these new epic skills now I've used all the points I was dealt when I come into this fiasco of an update
What am I missing? Is XP a thing of the past seeing my bar says Maximum epic XP achieved? If so what's the point?

For epic levels they added tiers like heroic so it's showing you progress to the next tier not the next level.

Neither do I. Wait a month until some/many bugs are fixed. Also the smart players post real info.
Just awestruck, whether it be a Dragon flying overhead Stormreach, that glowing character who just zoomed in'n'out of the Pub or that I can drink a Beholder under the table and best of all rescuing Damsels in distress.

    Character. Alivef was 1 x heroic completionist now I need Alchemist (+I have few more heroic pl's) 1 x epic completionist, 1 iconic Shadar Kai x 3. Gnome+Drow x3 racial pl's.

    Cheers for replying.
Cant see tiers just see a bar that says Maximum Epic XP achieved. Run a dungeon. No movement.

SlowDM Think you are right might just play something else now, Trouble is if I get into that it's so long DDO. I'm old got an attention span of a gnat. Happened with EVE then Elite odds on it'll happen here if I take an extended break.

So if I understand correctly, they have done away with the "two bars" for xp and epic xp, and consolidated into one bar? And there is no longer an "active destiny", just picking and choosing which ones you want to use?

And I'm still unsure how I'm supposed to spend my fate points.

Are you already lvl 30? If so, you won't see any more xp progression. You don't need it for epic destinies anymore--you speak to the epic trainer to go into a zone to unlock all of the destinies (no xp or questing required), and you spend destiny points. You get more DP automatically as you level up after 20, but if you're 30 you'll get a pile to spend (more if you have a bunch of epic past lives).

If you're under lvl 30, you might have to click on the side of the progression bar to cycle through different display options (that's how it was before U51, anyway)

Hit control-E to open up your epic destiny window (or select it from the pop-up menu, bottom left of DDO screen), spend your points. You can only spend in 3 destinies. At level 20, you can only get the first core of a destiny and spend in the first 2 tiers.

    Apologies, I misunderstood the question.

If you haven't already done so you need to go the epic trainer and talk to all 12 trainers which will give you 12 permanent points (from 36 fate points). Until you do that you can't spend anything.

Once you do that there is no leveling up destinies, karma, etc. Just open up epic destinies and spend points. It's more like the heroic enhancement system so you don't get all points at once unloess you are level 30 already. You get points as you level up.

Spending Points: If you are vip you can open the epic destiny tab and spend points from anywhere. If you are not vip you have to talk to an epic trainer to spend your points.

Fate points are converted to destiny points (fate points are included in permanent points), so you don't spend them separately like twists. Instead you spend those points as part of your destiny spend in the trees.

Consider watching some voodu videos such as this one: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1195696613 Skip to about 50 minutes in.

OK thanks everyone. I still dont get it. Toon is LVL 30 I did all the trainers spent the points I had. So how do I get more to advance the trees? Whats the point in XP when you cant get any now. Therefore optional quests in dungeons are pointless now. Indeed doing any dungeon is pointless now. I cant see the progression.

You have achieved max level, I don't understand your question? Now that you are 30 you have three real choices. TR back down to improve your character (that is progression), go farm dungeons or raids for specific items to make your character stronger (that is progression), or go do quest to learn the story/lore of each mission to experience the content.

Other games once you hit max level outside of gear there is no other real progression other then waiting for the next expansions for new stuff to come out, DDO thankfully allows you to TR to always improve your character (unless you are the 1% that has completed that task).

If you are new to 30 and don't understand what to do next then that is a different question and many people can help you I am sure. There are alot of guides out there for next steps.

Hold on a minute folks. Question is about experience and progressing at cap. A big opportunity to progress at cap is doing reaper quests for reaper points. You get double reaper xp when you are capped. If you do first time reaper quest you get that double bonus as well so it's four times bonus. The base reaper xp is maxxed on the legendary quests so you can approach 10k reaper xp doing an R10 (not saying you need to go all the way to R10).

Level 30 was always the cap so questing after level 30 always gave you no experience. If you are talking about filling up empty epic destinies, they removed the need to do that. You used to fill up all epic destinies just once (and they stayed full forever) but could only use one epic destiny at a time. Now you just spend points like in heroic trees and are not required to fill up off-destinies. Playing the game at level 30 has always been a waste of time. Yes, TRing is the way to go once you reach level 30. I don't know what CBA stands for, but reincarnations are free and are the central focus of the game. Once you hit level 30 you do one or more TR's to continue playing the same character. They simply removed one of the unnecessary grinds the game had (though I can appreciate that there was a certain feeling of satisfaction we got from filling up each of the destinies).

For clarities sake, you get double reaper points for running legendary quests. You don't have to be capped to get this bonus. Running level 30+ quests gives you the same double reaper experience no matter what epic level you are.

You no longer spend fate points. Fate points now give you 1 HP and 2 SP per point, and every 3 fate points gives you 1 destiny point (Epic Action Point). Thats now what you spend. On your 3 destiny trees.

I believe there was a 2nd update today which corrected the issue of the epic xp bar still representing an obsolete xp .
there are no more destiny xp earned only total epic xp.
like the heroic system as you gain xp and earn points at particular points in the leveling process.
not sure if the system includes a blue dot notification like heroics do?

You spent all the points you had...then you don't have any more points. You can get more points by doing Epic Past Lives.

And this is different from before...how? You maxxed out all your destiny XP and then didn't need XP anymore. No change, except that you're never stuck being in a crummy off-destiny just to get karma anymore.
Kobold sentient jewel still hate you.
