Question Best graphics settings on newish hardware?

I have a newish laptop with a GPU and since this is a much older game I really should not have any issues cranking up the graphics to max levels but...would some of those settings be of little help or even be detrimental to the game's performance?

For Starters, this is my system:
    HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec0xxx
    OS: Windows 11 Home Edition
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3550H with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.10 GHz
Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (13.9 GB usable)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (mobile)

So this should be plenty beefy for an older game like DDO. I'm running the game with DX11 toggled on and everything seems fine. I also have the NVIDIA settings set to make DDO use the 1050.

But it's all of those little settings in the Graphics and Advanced Graphics tab in the options panel that I'm curious about. Should it all be cranked up or should some of those settings still be set lower or even toggled off if that's an option?

Crank them up if you can. I have an I3 processor with onboard Intel graphics 630 so not quite are robust as your system. I have found that setting down shadow and going with trilinear xxxxx (can't remember the term it relates to) allows me to use high textures. I turn off stencil shadows and bloom altogether because I find them distracting. So long as your are running cool with a decent framerate have fun.
What do you mean a -6 armor class is no good anymore?

If one of them falls off a cliff, it ain't their fault.
