I've read conflicting stories about Improved Critical and Wespon Specialization. Can anyone let me know the correct IC/WS feats to take for a Bear weilding a Falchion? Slash...or Bludgeon? Or something else....and does 'Specialization' work in Bear form?

It has been a long time since i played a druid bear. Nevertheless i am pretty sure it is slashing - same as weapon type.
Are the confusing posts old by any chance?
They changed how the bear and wolf form works with weapons some time ago. Can't figure out when....

Yes, 2012-2015 ish. More recent builds seem to do same as weapon.

Everything regarding weapon damage/type should work, as if not in a shape. including fighter feats (foci, specs), Kensei "specialization" line, and even HOrc's "two-handed weapon aptitude".
The only difference is combat style. It's "Natural Fighting" while in a shape.
So THF feats won't work with falchion. Some builds still take them but only as a prerequisite to certain Strikethrough Enhancements (racial "great weapon aptitude" or Frenzied Berserker line).
