Default Longterm Bug: Scrolls, UMD ,and two handed weapons

BUG: if you have the UMD to use a Deadly weapons scroll but you only have two handed weapons or handwraps, you cannot cast it from the scroll onto your weapon because you have to equip the scroll in your hand to use it. This is applicable to any weapon enchant from a scroll onto a two handed or handwraps weapon.

SOLUTION: Allow scrolls to be used from inventory, with an appropriately increased activation time, to balance out the fact that you don't need to equip them anymore. This simple solution would improve QoL for soloists who use a lot of UMD.

ALTERNATE SOLUTION: As an alternate form of casting, have the weapon enchantments create a tradeable clicky that is destroyed on logout.

SECOND ALTERNATE SOLUTION: Make a purchasable item at all scroll vendors--a podium--which casts the spell of whatever scroll is put into it, but that the podium mimics the UMD and class restrictions of the inserted scroll and that SIGNIFICANTLY increases the cast time by 500% or more. The inserted scroll is also destroyed on use, and the podium will not accept a stack of scrolls.

LAST, ULTRA-COMPLEX SOLUTION: Make Two-Handed Weapons occupy the off hand on the character model, and allow scrolls to be equipped in the main hand under this condition.

it IS a bug. In real D&D you'd just put the weapon on a table and cast it onto it, and pick it up. It is mechanically unsound you cannot do something similar.

WAI is code for we can change it but for an arbitrary OPINION, we choose not to. It's a garbage excuse. Intended? It's NOT working as intended.

They should just have the Deadly Weapons buff and any other weapon or armor buffs apply to the player and not the weapon itself. When the player equips an item in the appropriate slot the buff will then apply to that item as needed. It'll be easier to track that way too. Doing this would allow scrolls to buff yourself and then equip whichever weapon you'd like to use.

Intended by devs, what, two to three companies ago? The devs and the game have changed a great deal since. They could make scrolls usable from inventory. It would fix a LOT of other things too. They just don't.

    Also, don't be rude.

How about when the attack button is pushed the scroll in hand is used thereby one may target the weapon in their inventory?

You can ask your friend to cast the scroll on you.
This comes with it's own problems, though.
It's very likely that, without practice, the other person would accidentally cast the scroll on themselves.
Due to how clicking on scrolls work.
You typically drag scroll on hotbar, click on it to equip, and the focus goes from other person to you. Or the scroll. Which you then happily enchant.
