    Default DDO store/Paypal problem

When trying to make a DDO purchase (DDO points, to be precise), the login procedure to Paypal is stalling. I sent a ticket to Xsolla, but I would like to hear what else you might advise.

In the usual Paypal secucrity check window, I'm asked for my username and password, but then it gets stuck at the point when I'm expecting an SMS with a verification code, but none arrives. Paypal's page is showing a spinning waiting wheel endlessly and no error message is coming up.

Paypal payments are working otherwise for me and previous D&D Online payments with Paypal were working as well. There also is more than enough money on my account.

I tried the following, but it didn't help:

Using the external store by placing a checkbox at the "external store" entry at the very bottom of the UI settings in the in-game options.

Switching off two-factor authentication for Paypal (so no SMS confirmation code is expected).

Deleting all browser cookies, history etc. in case it's related to that (although the game seems to use its own browser).

Switching off the entire Windows firewall.

Get used to it, I find DDO interface to Paypal is broken more than it works.

The not getting the SMS message is down to your phone carrier. Is there a way to get the code through email? I would do that if possible. If not call your carrier and tell them you are not receiving texts from short codes. They may have your account flagged ( had this problem personally with T-Mobile ). Is this an android or iphone?

But besides that try contacting paypal and tell them what is happening.

Paypal SMSes are otherwise arriving (like when logging on to Paypal), so it's not a telephone carrier problem. Alternatively, I can use an authenticator app for verifaction and I changed to that, but it doesn't work either. I have an Android cellphone BTW.

I contacted Xsolla first because Paypal is working otherwise. They sent me a link, so I could make the transaction via my web browser. This was successful and the DDO points arrived on my account. This link is probably not working in the future, however. I hope it won't go like that all the time now.

    Thanks for your help!

You're getting further than I do, I just get the endlessly loading "security challenge" the moment after I type in my email address and hit enter. Thoroughly annoying, that, I was hoping to buy a month of subscription to free up some charslots. Guess I won't be playing after all.
