Mark of Death in October?

Yosefi of Ghallanda interested if any others would like to schedule Mark of Death raids in October.

I've only done it once and recently. I can provide strong single target ranged DPS for wrecking bosses. Expecting we could have some other new players. If someone experienced joins that would help a lot but I'm willing to collab on researching and figuring it out ourselves. I'm flexible on diff. Reply to this board if interested and indicate time zone and times that could work. We will have to coordinate/plan to make it work. Basically, a few people stay on the main platform and at least one alive to avoid the fail. Otherwise we all go to the first DD then split and handle both DD at same time after that. If we're all new expect to try a few times and fail. It's not a long raid so failing should not be a big problem if we keep our spirits up. If you know about the raid, even a little bit, you probably already know. If you don't know, know we have to coordinate and work as a team.

Things that would help:

• Flesh to stone CC in center. Petrify trash and must stay alive. Want minimal number of folks staying here but also must survive or fail.
• Hiding from Abbot inferno by standing at the vertices of the edge of platform.
• Heals
• DPS mainly for Death Knights and Bosses. DPS mainly ignores platform trash so it does not respawn.
• Reviewing ddowiki above.
• Understand we will have to traverse some blue lava water with platforms. Only one person gets the goggles to see. When we come out of the first DD back to platform, we run to other side, then split East and West to traverse the blue lava to the respective DDs. There is invisible wall, that is why we have to run to opposite side of platform from first DD before we head East and West to the two DDs.
• Don't assume I know. Until I do it a bunch of times, I don't know it.
• Be flagged. Have to go to the epic NPCs up top in Upper Necro, talk to chain NPC. Do the epic versions of the 4 Orchard quests.
• If you want to do MoD, suggest hitting reply.

Would be nice to get this raid in rotation again.

I organize PUG raids on Wednesday fairly regularly starting at 1930 central european time. If you can make that time I dont mind adding MoD to the raids we run next Wednesday after some other raids.

Update: Threw up an LFM and got a 6-person R1 done. Was fun. Thanks folks! Several pulls, including someone got a Litany. Maybe took 10 minutes. Gotten ok at navigating to east DD with goggles (not without yet).

Update: Got another 4 person going today, EH. Was fun, lasted about 10 minutes. Folks were happy it was noticeably not a pain, nor miserable.

Basically plan is:

• Smack Abbot.
• One holds center while others DD and kill Death Knight.
• One holds center while two sets of player(s) go to east and west DD in the water and kill the death knights in sync. Melee west, ranged east.
• Kill death knights.
• Kill Abbot.

Can never have too many Profane +2 stat augments for your item swaps amirite??

R1 6 person was relatively easy and EH 4 person was a breeze.

I'm fine trying any diff including higher reaper or EN. Takes 10 minutes so worst that can happen is science.

Figured out I've been making the Cardinal Sin of Abbot: I've been going west when I should have been going east!!!

For some reason I was thinking initial quest orientation was facing north and then when you come out of the center DD back to center I was facing south, so I've been going "left" to go east (I'm ranged) but it turns out I've been going west this whole time.

Explains several pieces data:

• Getting messages like I'm getting the ranged attack debuff from Death Knights. Been wondering if I was getting someone else's messages or something.
• Feeling like Death Knights have been dropping slower than expected, and attacks slower or laggier than expected.
• End of quest messages like "was a little chaotic but we got it done".

Good news/bad news: been successfully running R1s with short groups doing it the wrong way.
