What is going on with Shadow Crypt?

Since when does the Vampire spam cast Dominate Person?
I probably wouldn't have noticed just how bad this is except that I had the Lvl 11 FavSoul Hireling Roshan with me and Roshan has Dispel Magic.
I had Roshan cast Dispel Magic on me 4 or 5 times, each time I was redominated within a second and when Roshan inevitably died due to not being able to heal himself thanks to me having to spam Dispel I too was dead given that the Dominate lasts 20 seconds and that was more than enough time for the Boss to kill me.

My Character?
Lvl 12 Human Sword & Board Fighter with Barovian Bastard Sword and Tower Shield.

So no, this was not below level or even at level and yes I was on Elite not Reaper.

Complete waste of time to get to the end only to be spam Dominated!

I can't recall the last time I stepped in there without prot from evil running so I wouldn't even notice any change on that spell. I know some other spells here and there have been spammed by mobs and were recently patched to be spammed less, sounds like it's possible domination from him might be same issue with being cast too rapid fire.
